Obama’s Evil Way

By: :Lee S Gliddon Jr

Obama appears to be content as he travels around America touting the success of his failed economic policies. In a Michigan automobile plant he had to almost demand applause as he voiced the success of his policies involving Union Baliouts. The workers just could not get the point of his lies but he could care less.

As Obama played golf and the oil spill continued Iran continued its pursuit of a nuclear weapon. As Obama directed the DOJ to sue Arizone and denied border invasion as a problem Iran continued to constuct a nuclear weapon. As Obama took another vacation and played more golf Iran continued its construction of nuclear weaponry. As Obama claimed to have ’saved’ millions of jobs and talked up a failing economy Iran…well, you get the picture…at least I hope you do.

Obama is using every device he can to downplay the threat of a nuclear armed Iran and his supporters blindly defend his positions and his apparent ineptness’s.

Rather than acting as a President and someone intent on unifying a troubled nation he is doing anything but that. He sues Arizona for trying to deter Illegal Immigration, tries to stop all oil workers along the Gulf of Mexico and has no explanation other than to lamely say, “I know what’s best.”

In Obama’s mind what is best is that America cannot be allowed to realize that Iran will test its first nuclear weapon in months! Not years…months!

What is even more shameful is he is doing all within his power to deter Israel from being able to defend itself as he openly supports HAMAS and its terrorist intents.

When will Obama come to realize that being a President is not to blindly follow an ideology that is a proven failure? When will he realize that a nuclear attack will not exclude him as a target? Unless his intent is to be a martyr for some weird Islamic cause he had better wake up and realize that he was elected as President not as the eteral campaigner!

Evil is as evil does! It does not take a Forest Gump to see that!

“The U. S. Government – Lilly-Livered, Weak-Kneed & Hopelessly Corrupt”

By Ron Ewart, President ational Association of Rural Landowners and nationally recognized author on freedom and property rights issues. © Copyright July 6, 2010 - All Rights Reserved

“The budget should be balanced. Public debt should be reduced. The arrogance of officialdom should be tempered, and assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed, lest Rome become bankrupt.” (Marcus Tullius Cicero, philosopher and statesman of Rome – 106 BC to 43 BC)

The most powerful nation on Earth? Hardly!

With our apologies to the fairer sex, America is ruled by the pink-panty crowd, afraid to offend, afraid to portray strength and afraid to win, but not afraid to deceive, lie, cheat and steal. It apologizes when no apology is warranted. It skirts around victory with our sworn enemies but refuses to close the deal in the hopes that our friends and enemies will “like” us and think we are being magnanimous and compassionate.

The true reality is, our enemies look upon us as weak. Brave men and women have died and sacrificed needlessly for wars we didn’t have the stomach to win. That should be a treasonous act.

We cut one-sided deals with dictators in countries with nuclear ambitions, who purposely ignore their promises, then take our ”goodies” and continue their nuclear programs in the dark of night and in secret.. Our stupidity gives them the time to harden their nuclear operations underground, where our bombs can’t reach them.

We negotiate in weakness with our enemies, who then stab us in the back at every opportunity. Instead of holding them accountable for not honoring their contracts or treaties, we enter into more worthless contracts and treaties and provide more goodies. It’s a shakedown at best and the American taxpayer gets to pay for the egregious mistakes made at the hands of their corrupt and negligent government. Generals in our military are sick of playing pussy foot with our enemies when they know they have the power to conquer any country on Earth ….. a power that is denied them by the inept, inexperienced, spineless and pink-panty- wearing leaders of America.

General McCrystal finally had it and laid bare the festering anger and frustration that permeates a military rendered almost impotent by a community organizer and the inmates that have taken control of the asylum known as the U. S. Congress.

Obama is a Lilly-livered, weak-kneed village idiot that should have never become president, if the media had exposed the sordid details of his entire socialist/Marxist life, early on in the campaign, or answered, once and for all, whether Obama is a natural born citizen of America, as required by the Constitution.

Then there is the matter of illegal immigration. We will prosecute wars in foreign lands at great cost to the taxpayer and the blood and treasure of our young men and women in uniform, but we refuse to protect our national borders against an invasion of people who seek our generous benefits, without having to go through the proper doors and pay the price of admission.

It is so bad that open warfare has erupted all along our Southern border and we shrink from engaging the perpetrators, while tens of thousands of illegal aliens, drugs and white slaves pour into America every month.

Each month America’s national culture is diluted by the poor folk of broken and corrupt countries, who seek not to assimilate but to “steal” our jobs and our safety net generosity.

We send billions to Mexico to fight the border war, at taxpayer expense, but won’t put the resources on our own border to seal it. That too is treason and a direct violation of the government’s absolute duty to defend America from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Further, government refuses to enforce current law on businesses hiring illegal aliens, thus increasing the power of the magnet that draws them here in the first place.

Every month the cost of this invasion by the hordes from poor countries gets larger and larger, while those who occupy the seats of power in what is America’s Rome, use the chaos at the border as blackmail to pass amnesty legislation. This amnesty they desire is not for altruistic or compassionate reasons, but is for the sole purpose of adding socialist-minded illegal aliens to the voting rolls, to maintain perpetual liberal-progressive power.

The only thing that will save America from this unprecedented and hostile invasion by a foreign power, is putting troops and unmanned drones on the border with orders to shoot to kill anyone found crossing the border, outside of authorized border crossings. If this was done, illegal crossings would cease almost immediately.

Irrational compassion will be the death of us. The only way to win the war in Afghanistan is to use an over-powering force and bring the entire country to its knees with nothing less than unconditional surrender, just as we did in World War II. This includes the taking down of the current corrupt government. Anything less is a stab in the hearts of those who are forced to meet this enemy with rules of engagement requiring their hands be tied behind their backs and their guns empty. More treason!

This author bears no illusions that the Lilly-livered, weak-kneed criminals and cowards in Washington DC will do any such thing. So be prepared for the all-out invasion of our Southern border to continue and the war in Afghanistan to go on indefinitely, or we will pull out with our tale between our legs just as we did in Vietnam, with the sacrifices of our dead and wounded having been for naught.

On the other hand, there is one area in which the prevailing power in Washington DC shows great courage. For this deed they have put on their iron jockey shorts and grabbed their swords, spears and body armor.

They are not at all reticent about passing law after law to subjugate the American people and take away their liberties.

They show no cowardice in giving up American sovereignty by ratifying unconstitutional treaties.

They lack no courage when it comes to spending America into bankruptcy, or nationalizing businesses, or destroying the engine that made America the most powerful and generous nation on Earth ….. Capitalism.

Their arrogance and elitism is open and notorious.

They cannot tolerate criticism and look down on the people from their ivory towers of corruption.

It has been reported that they have sent copies of the Constitution to be used in all of Washington DC’s restrooms, but not for reading.

They thumb their collective noses at those who oppose them. They demean the tea party movement as being nothing more than a bunch of rabble rousers who seek to overthrow the American government and are just a hair’s breath away from violent acts to do just that, in the spirit of Timothy McVeigh.

They seek to pass legislation to silence their critics by controlling the print and electronic media in a scheme called the “Fairness” Doctine. They pass legislation to further the brainwashing of our impressionable and gullible school children, who are forced to attend our public schools of indoctrination. They pass legislation to lock up all of our resources and confiscate private property, with reckless disregard of constitutional protections.

These Lilly-livered, weak-kneed apologists, partner with national and international money changers, power brokers, socialists and radical environmentalists to lock up America in the distorted image of Europe and the United Nations and further their goal towards global government.

These internationalists are intent upon stealing America’s wealth, its resources, its freedom and its very sovereignty.

The people and the states that gave the federal government its limited power, as codified in Article I, Section 8 of the U. S. Constitution, need to rein in that government, or this Lilly-livered, weak-kneed, cowardice and corrupt government will usurp all power and render the states and the people impotent and slaves of the realm.

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | Surely it’s just my fallible memory, but I can’t recall a presidential address that has fallen as flat as Barack Obama’s last week, at least not since Jimmy Carter gave his (in)famous Malaise speech back in the dismal summer of 1979.

Without actually using that French-sounding word, which may have been the one mistake he avoided in that overwrought and overthought speech, that beleaguered president got his message across clearly enough: He was the victim of a crisis of confidence on the part of the American people.

And if we would just regain our spirit, all the other crises his administration faced would go away — from gas lines to hyperinflation to the general feeling that no one was in charge. It was really our fault that he was proving such a failure.

Strangely enough, We the People didn’t buy all that, maybe because we expected a president of the United States to take the lead in solving problems, not go on national television to psychoanalyze them, and us.

As it turned out, the American people did have a lot of confidence in themselves; it was their president they lacked confidence it — a feeling that would be borne out by Mr. Carter’s defeat in the next presidential election a year later by Ronald Reagan, the happiest warrior to occupy the White House since FDR.

Having campaigned on a promise to give America a government as good as its people, Jimmy Carter had come down from his mountaintop, specifically Camp David, where he’d spent two days getting advice from everybody in sight, to tell the American people that we weren’t as good as his government. Which was a funny way to restore people’s confidence.

If I recall correctly, it took a couple of days for the full force of public opinion to set in against that speech, and then descend on the White House like an avalanche of negative reactions.

Things happen much faster in these computerized, iPhoned, YouTubed times. Barack Obama had scarcely finished his speech last week about the oil spill and what a great job he’d been doing to contain it when the rotten tomatoes started flying. We’ve just never been that big on Malaise in this country; we would rather a leader tackled problems than analyze them.

Dr. Carter’s diagnosis of the American psyche — a bad case of Malaise — might have gone over well in a different country. France, say, where they seem to enjoy contemplating the futility of things. What other people could have produced existentialism followed by deconstructionism and then early retirement? The French seem to luxuriate in La Tristesse, savoring every delectable, mournful sip. Like a good Beaujolais.

The end of every French movie I can remember seeing — excuse me, the denouement — has been: And They Lived Unhappily Ever After. And then everybody slowly drifts out of the movie theater sighing deeply, enveloped in a bittersweet self-satisfaction, absorbed in their own deep sensitivity. Ah, there’s nothing like having one’s cynicism borne out by events. Although it does tend to spoil the popcorn.

But that’s just not the American way. We’ve got things to do, places to go, people to see, oil to trap, skim and vacuum. Lamentation just takes up too much good time that could be spent on, say, holding down a second job or playing in a garage band. Philosophy has never been our strong point; on the whole, we’d rather make money.

Rather than follow some ascetic creed, we prefer our faith on the positive side. He helps those who help themselves and all that. If we can’t have a purpose-driven life, we’ll settle for just a driven one.

But one thing we’re not likely to settle for is a leader who analyzes instead of leads. Which may be the big reason the president’s address Tuesday night fell flat as a flitter. Or as Mark Twain said of a different performance, it wasn’t American, it wasn’t un-American, it was … French.

Our current president’s much touted call to arms against the oil spill somehow managed to disappoint both left and right, and center, too. And even those who don’t much follow politics. Talk about a comprehensive impact. Who says the man can’t unite us?

Pragmatist or idealist or just innocent bystander, all seemed just a little miffed the morning after, or even the night before. The talking cure just doesn’t seem to get it done this side of the Atlantic, or at least in flyover country, where introspection may be taken as just an early symptom of constipation.

Over here, we like our leaders chipper, especially when the roof is falling in. Think Churchill while the V-2s were raining down on London, Maggie Thatcher when she was reminding Bush I that now was no time to go wobbly, Ronald Reagan when he inherited the Carter Malaise but acted as if he had just been handed the lead in a musical comedy co-starring Jimmy Cagney — and the happy ending was waiting in the very next reel.

There is much to be said for having an actor in the White House, preferably one who specialized in B-movies full of all-American melodrama. Maybe because American history is one heckuva screenplay itself.

So we were all waiting for the president to say what he was going to do about this sea of oil headed into the Gulf, but he seemed so … detached. Removed. Cool, man. As if this were somebody else’s problem, really. Which is what brought poor, out-of-his-depth Jimmy Carter to mind. The country doesn’t need another president like that. But it seems to be getting one. The prospect is enough to fill most of us with … malaise.

So could we please just fix this oily little matter, Mr. President, which ain’t so little after all, before we start gazing fondly at our navels? There’ll be plenty of time for philosophizing after this well has been safely plugged. Till then, let’s concentrate on Job No. 1. And git ‘er done. Then we can go back to arguing politics. Till then, the country could use a president who leads, follows or just gets out of the way. Instead it’s got this … community organizer.

Wake up, Mr. President!

For the past three weeks, I’ve been on vacation, purposely avoiding news of any kind as I sought to refresh my soul. The very first thing I read upon resuming my vigil on the world’s affairs was a report describing those despicable Israelis cold-bloodedly murdering a group of innocent peace activists bringing much-needed aid and comfort to the Israeli-victimized Gazans and a companion piece filled with the world’s condemnation of Israel.

Having followed Middle East events rather conscientiously for a number of years, I immediately suspected that there was a great deal more to this story. Having watched a Western press grow more and more willfully blind and downright anti-Semitic over three decades greatly increased my skepticism. Seeing my American president blink, blink, and blink again while blathering more inanity about irrelevancies, unable to discern right from wrong, brought me to the brink of gut-wrenching nausea.

What has happened to us? The West, I mean, and more specifically, America?

The Israeli Defense Forces are not stupid, for one thing. They had clear video of individual soldiers legally enforcing a two-nation naval blockade for purely defensive purposes. The boat boarded by the IDF had multiple warnings and were peacefully informed that the ship would need to be boarded and inspected for weapons before it could pass to deliver the aid purportedly on board. All perfectly in accordance with international law. Instead of “peace activists,” the soldiers — not drones or missiles or mechanized artillery, mind you, but real men, sons, brothers, husbands, fathers — were met by an army of savages wielding steel pipes, who overwhelmed the soldiers and beat them without mercy.

The savage gang was fired upon, and nine of them were killed. It was called an Israeli-perpetrated massacre.

And I daresay there is not a single American adult who would not defend the actions of the IDF if the men being beaten were among their own sons, brothers, husbands, or fathers.

A Chicago police officer attempting to inspect a car trunk for illegal drugs who is surrounded by a gang and beaten with steel pipes certainly has the right to use his gun and depend upon his partner to do so. An American soldier disarming people by law in the wake of Katrina, if met by a gang wielding clubs against him, would fire in self-defense. Would we have the same difficulty condemning the real law-breakers? I don’t think so.

Figuring out who is right and who is wrong in this situation is not hard stuff. It’s not the kind of moral dilemma which anyone over the age of twelve ought to have difficulty resolving. No, it isn’t Auschwitz, at least not yet. It isn’t the blueprints for massive “ovens,” at least not yet, but the leaders of Israel’s enemy states have publicly declared over and over again their intentions to perpetrate Holocaust II at the first opportunity.

No, understanding the Israeli position as the only morally defensible one in the region is not difficult. It’s the kind of elementary morality that any good parent hopes to have instilled in his children before they reach middle school.

So again, I ask myself, what has happened to us as a civilization?

Why are the Israelis having to spend precious time and energy trying to convince the rest of the world of the justness of their cause? A cause that is simply about surviving in peace while surrounded by historical throwbacks to the 7th century?

When the Israelis finally bent to world pressure in 2005 and left Gaza — forcefully uprooting their own people, and even being so thorough as to take the dead Jews from their cemeteries – they were acting in good faith, attempting to trade land for peace. The Palestinians could have become good neighbors, could have asked for the helping hand of do-gooders around the world for rebuilding moneys and assistance. The world would have been generous. The Israelis themselves offered such assistance.

Instead, the Palestinians took to using Gaza exactly as they had before the Israeli occupation: to perpetrate war. Nearly ten thousand rockets have rained down on innocent Israelis since the land-for-peace deal was made. Those rockets have killed hundreds of Israelis, nearly all civilians. And, in fact, the Israelis do send food and medicine daily into the Gaza that assaults them without mercy.

Now, if peace is really the only objective, the Israelis could have peace by this time tomorrow, and the only thing they would need to do to achieve it is to march quietly into an Iranian-built “oven.” The Arabs would all be happy. The Muslim world would rejoice immediately, and all would be well in the entire region. All American troops could come home from the Middle East. President Obama could bow as much as he pleased and play golf the rest of the time.

About a year ago, I shamelessly berated a dear Jewish friend for becoming paranoid about unfolding events — not in Israel, but right here in America. She, naturally, sees things differently from how I do. She was noticing the telltales in American foreign policy under the new administration. She was calling my attention to signs I couldn’t then read. Perhaps a part of me simply wanted to believe — with all my heart and soul — that nothing whatsoever similar to the Holocaust could ever happen again because we good Americans would never, ever, ever permit such a horror on our watch. I argued this point with my friend vehemently. For a while, we were so passionately at odds on the “Jewish question” that we stopped corresponding and talking on the phone. Now I shake with guilt and shame over my callous insensitivity, and I wonder where I found such faith in the American people and such naïve blindness about human evil.

We have clearly elected an anti-Semitic president. I say this with due trepidation; I take the charge as seriously as any I know. Barack Obama’s anti-Semitism is so transparent that I tremble to consider that it may not even be merely an intellectual Israel-vs.-Arab-nation prejudice, but may actually be racist, or even a soul-disordered hate for all things deigned by God.

Consider Obama’s presidential record on judging events. When lawyer Obama heard only scant details of Professor Gates’ arrest, he didn’t bat an eyelash before publicly declaring that the police “acted stupidly.” When President Obama learned of Chávez-wannabe Zelaya being exiled from Honduras, he took the side of Zelaya without even the slightest hesitation, and he even threw the weight of the entire U.S. government against the tiny, struggling Honduran democracy. When Eric Holder announced that he intended to grant the 9/11 terrorists civilian trials in the heart of NYC, President Obama needed no time to study the issue, gather all the facts, or hold any public investigations on the matter. President Obama seems to have no difficulty whatsoever taking sides.

Yet whenever the president is confronted with events in which Jews or Muslims are concerned, we encounter an altogether different Obama persona. We see the dodger. We see the presumed thinker. We see the lawyer calling for all the facts, all the wider ramifications, all the possible contingencies. In every instance of terrorist killing or foiled killing since taking office, President Obama has dodged the one word that fits: “Muslim.” He has removed every mention of Islam from all intelligence material on terrorism. Since day one of his presidency, we have seen a man seemingly going out of his way to soothe the hurt feelings of Muslims, all the while publicly insulting and humiliating the Jewish Prime Minister of Israel. Now, with clear film showing soldiers mercilessly beaten by a savage gang and firing in self-defense, the president dithers, joins an immoral U.N. condemnation of the Israelis, and continues to “gather facts.”

Remembering the fears of my Jewish friend, I must now ask whether Barack Obama is signaling to the entire Muslim world that Israel is theirs for the taking, that America will stand aside and twiddle our collective thumbs while Iran and her Muslim neighbors finally get to carry out Holocaust II.

And for the very first time in my life, I am ashamed of my country.

The only thing I can add is that I now declare myself, a devout Catholic, Jewish too. And it would seem the only moral thing any of us can do is to proclaim this as loudly and as furiously as we can. When Helen Thomas says the Jews need to go back to Poland and Germany, and those on a “peace flotilla” tell an Israeli soldier to “go back to Auschwitz,” and a president looks the other way while evil parades as good right under his nose, then the time for silence has passed. There is a quirky verse in the book of Genesis which any God-fearing person ought now heed, in my opinion. Speaking of the Jews, His chosen people, God told Abraham: “I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse.”

I say again, shouldn’t we all be Israelis now? Yes, we should.

*WAYNE ALLYN ROOT: Overwhelm the system*
>
>
> *WAYNE ALLYN ROOT*
>
> Barack Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary,
> he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He is
> purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic
> failure, economic crisis and social chaos — thereby destroying
> capitalism and our country from within.
>
> Barack Obama is my college classmate (Columbia University, class
> of ‘83). As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama
> is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at
> Columbia University. They outlined a plan to socialize America
> by overwhelming the system with government spending and
> entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually
> they’re alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant,
> Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a
> socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that
> desperately needs government for survival … and can be counted
> on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no
> responsibility to pay for it.
>
> — Universal health care. The health care bill had very little
> to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing
> millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding
> 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government
> employee unions). Obama doesn’t care that giving free health
> care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national
> debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence
> of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who
> but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending
> bill in the middle of a depression?
>
> — Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to
> do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global
> warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income,
> government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to
> Obama’s biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions
> and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can
> then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will
> kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to
> Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus
> is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger
> homes and businesses helps Obama “spread the wealth around.”
>
> — Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who’s asking for a 51st state?
> Who’s asking for millions of new welfare recipients and
> government entitlement addicts in the middle of a
> depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been
> Obama’s plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat
> senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal
> Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.
>
> — Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12
> million potential new citizens free health care alone could
> overwhelm the system and bankrupt America. But it adds 12
> million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to
> support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in
> welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical,
> education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social
> Security.
>
> — Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went
> to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions –
> including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of
> government employees across the country. It went to save GM and
> Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues.
> It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after
> giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering
> $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union
> dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to
> protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting
> America. The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak
> future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the
> unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.
>
> — Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners,
> and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20
> percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success,
> and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for
> Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to
> starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes
> to starve his political opposition.
>
> With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created
> a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on
> big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who
> work for big government; and a government dedicated to
> destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist
> rulers by overwhelming the system.
>
> Add it up and you’ve got the perfect Marxist scheme — all
> devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Obama
> using the Cloward and Piven Plan.

Last week, a Muslim activist from the charity, Islamic Relief, sent out this e-mail, below, bragging about an Obama White House visit by Muslim activists and concessions to the Muslim world that Obama promised them. A number of these things–most of them–are things President Bush actually was the first to do, and, thus, he opened the floodgates. Plus he was the one who made the boneheaded decision to establish a White House office for “faith-based partnerships” referenced below. I warned (nine years ago!) this was going to be used to steer your tax money to promote Islam and Islamic hate, and I was right. Also important to note here, though, is that Islamic Relief (IR) is a HAMAS charity, which I’ve written much about and even went undercover to its fundraising events. IR was booted from Israel, when its top official there had Hitler and Bin Laden screen savers on his computer and was a HAMAS activist.

It was founded by a member of the El-Banna family which founded the Muslim Brotherhood, from which HAMAS and Al-Qaeda also emanated. When I went undercover to two of IR’s Detroit-area fundraisers, I was horrified when, at one of them, the Milwaukee boy’s dance troupe, Sanabel Al-Quds, simulated beheadings, with kids using guns, rifles, and machetes to pretend to kill kids wearing the American, Israeli, and British flags. As I’ve also noted on this site that the same dance troupe performed at a Chicago dinner for the Arab American Action Network where Barack Obama was in attendance, several years before he ran for President. But it should also be noted that the Mormon Church has given Islamic Relief over $20 million. And when a McCain campaign worker asked Mitt Romney to denounce this, he refused to answer, called the man a “religious bigot,” and got McCain to fire him. Remember that, when Mitt Romney tells you he understands about jihad.

Subject: My visit to the White house

Assalamu Alai Kum,
Dear brothers and sisters,

I want to share with you on my recent visit to White house this past Tuesday. I had the good fortune to be with a delegation of 30 prominent National Muslim leaders representing various Islamic organizations across North America. Earlier in the day we had a luncheon at Ronald Reagan building in honor of Rashad Hussain’s appointment as US special envoy to the organization of the Islamic conference and to discuss the anniversary of the President’s historic Cairo Speech. Rashad Hussain was joined by the Associate director of White House office of public engagement Mr. Paul Monteiro. Later on in the day we went to the white house for briefings from various agencies organized by the white house staff and met individuals such as Ben Rose who assists President’s in his speeches and communications. Mazen Basrawi from department of justice civil rights division, Dennis Macdeon Presidents advisor on National security and Rev Joshua Dubois White House office of Faith based and neighborhood partnerships.

Rashad and Paul gave us all an update on the accomplishments and challenges of the President since he took office. Specially related to his engagement with Muslims domestically and internationally. He highlighted the President’s initiatives in his dealing with the Muslims such as

· Sending his top aide Valerie Jarret to ISNA annual convention last year,

· National security advisor John Brannon repeatedly saying the word Jihad should not be associated with terrorism as Jihad is a noble word and he was slammed by certain media outlets and blogs for saying this repeatedly,

· Less and less usage of words in associating Islam with terrorism, extremism, fundamentalism by this administration compared to all previous administrations,

· President’s speech at the Ft Hood funeral where he said the person who committed this crime will be punished in this life and the hereafter. Many groups wanted the President and this administration to disengage with Muslims after this tragedy,

· President’s historic speech at Cairo where he spoke to Muslims across the globe quoting several verses from Quran and Hadiths and made certain promises which is very much at the top of President’s agenda

· The President’s deadline to withdraw from Iraq which has been met so far and by the end of 2011 there will be a total and complete withdrawal,

· Special funding to eradicate polio from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria and India which has large Muslim populations,

· Special assistance during Hajj to address H1N1 epidemic and bring awareness,

· President’s executive order to ban torture and shutting down of Guantanamo,

· First country to officially visit Turkey,

· First interview of the President given to Al Arabiya,

· Hosting Dr. Mattson for the President’s inaugural session and National prayer service

· Hosting Dr. Mattson and ISNA leadership several times in White house including Iftaar

· His willingness to do more for the people of Palestine, Meeting with Abbas this week and address many other issues.

· The staff did mentioned that usually the Presidents leave the hot button issues for their second terms but this President has been engaging with these issues from day one.

The Muslim leadership discussed and asked questions on several key issues relating to our Zakat giving, profiling of Muslims specially our Imams and leaders at the airports specially when they return from overseas, Rise in radicalization in general not limited only to Muslims, Rise of Islamophobia, Weak response of the administration to the recent events of Floatilla, Playing the role of a honest broker in Middle east conflict, Removing the blockade in Gaza and other general issues of importance.

Dr. Mattson President of ISNA who chaired the delegation thanked the key white house staff for this meeting and applauded the efforts of the President. She also very forcefully said that the Muslims of North America expects more from this administration on the recent attacks on floatilla and also appealed to immediately address the issue of lifting the blockade as more than 50% of the Palestinian children are anemic and are facing malnutrition. She also expressed deep concern on the shooting of American citizen on Floatilla who was shot dead and was shot four times on his face and chest. Dr. Mattson requested similar meetings with the administration on a regular basis. I can provide more details if anyone is interested to know more on this day long meetings.

Jazak Allah Khair
Azhar Azeez

In announcing the passage of a U.N. Security Council resolution imposing sanctions on Iran, President Obama stressed not once but twice Iran’s increasing “isolation” from the world. This claim is not surprising considering that after 16 months of an “extended hand” policy, in response to which Iran accelerated its nuclear program — more centrifuges, more enrichment sites, higher enrichment levels — Iranian “isolation” is about the only achievement to which the administration can even plausibly lay claim.

“Isolation” may have failed to deflect Iran’s nuclear ambitions, but it does enjoy incessant repetition by the administration. For example, in his State of the Union address, President Obama declared that “the Islamic Republic of Iran is more isolated.” Two months later, Vice President Biden asserted that “since our administration has come to power, I would point out that Iran is more isolated — internally, externally — has fewer friends in the world.” At the signing of the START treaty in April, Obama declared that “those nations that refuse to meet their obligations [to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, i.e., Iran] will be isolated.”

Really? On Tuesday, one day before the president touted passage of a surpassingly weak U.N. resolution and declared Iran yet more isolated, the leaders of Russia, Turkey and Iran gathered at a security summit in Istanbul “in a display of regional power that appeared to be calculated to test the United States,” as the New York Times put it. I would add: And calculated to demonstrate the hollowness of U.S. claims of Iranian isolation, to flaunt Iran’s growing ties with Russia and quasi-alliance with Turkey, a NATO member no less.

Apart from the fact that isolation is hardly an end in itself and is pointless if, regardless, Iran rushes headlong to become a nuclear power, the very claim of Iran’s increasing isolation is increasingly implausible. Just last month, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hosted an ostentatious love fest in Tehran with the leaders of Turkey and Brazil. The three raised hands together and announced a uranium transfer deal that was designed to torpedo U.S. attempts to impose U.N. sanctions.

Six weeks ago, Iran was elected to the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women, a grotesque choice that mocked Obama’s attempt to isolate and de-legitimize Iran in the very international institutions he treasures.

Increasing isolation? In the past year alone, Ahmadinejad has been welcomed in Kabul, Istanbul, Copenhagen, Caracas, Brasilia, La Paz, Senegal, Gambia and Uganda. Today, he is in China.

Three Iran sanctions resolutions passed in the Bush years. They were all passed without a single “no” vote. But after 16 months of laboring to produce a mouse, Obama garnered only 12 votes for his sorry sanctions, with Lebanon abstaining and Turkey and Brazil voting against.

From the beginning, the Obama strategy toward Iran and other rogue states had been to offer goodwill and concessions on the premise that this would lead to one of two outcomes: (a) the other side changes policy, or (b) if not, the world isolates the offending state and rallies around us — now that we have demonstrated last-mile good intentions.

Hence, nearly a year and a half of peace overtures, negotiation, concessions, two New Year’s messages to the Iranian people, a bit of groveling about U.S. involvement in the 1953 coup and a disgraceful silence when the regime’s very stability was threatened by peaceful demonstrators.

Iran’s response? Defiance, contempt and an acceleration of its nuclear program.

And the world’s response? Did it rally behind us? The Russians and Chinese bargained furiously and successfully to hollow out the sanctions resolution. Turkey is openly choosing sides with the region’s “strong horse” — Iran and its clients (Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas) — as it watches the United States flailingly try to placate Syria and appease Iran while it pressures Israel, neglects Lebanon and draws down its power in the region.

To say nothing of Brazil. Et tu, Lula?

This comes after 16 months of assiduously courting these powers with one conciliatory gesture after another: “resetting” relations with Russia, kowtowing to China, lavishing a two-day visit on Turkey highlighted by a speech to the Turkish parliament in Ankara, and elevating Brazil by supplanting the G-8 with the G-20. All this has been read as American weakness, evidence that Obama can be rolled.

The result is succinctly, if understatedly, captured in Wednesday’s Post headline “U.S. alliance against Iran is showing new signs of vulnerability.”

A top adviser to President Obama is the contact person within the White House for communications with the Free Gaza Movement over plans to challenge Israel’s blockade of the terrorist Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, according to a reputable source close to the Netanyahu government. The source, a career official whose reliability was established through his tips for the book, “Why Israel Can’t Wait,” identified John O. Brennan, deputy national security adviser for homeland security and counterterrorism, as the contact. The allegation raises the bizarre possibility that the Free Gaza Movement’s flotilla action in the Mediterranean was being coordinated with the White House.
