More Democrats Say Rep. Rangel Should Resign.

Calls for Rep. Charlie Rangel’s resignation rained down on Capitol Hill late Friday from House Democrats who said more than a dozen ethics charges against the 20-term lawmaker showed a disregard for the rules and undermined the public’s confidence in Congress.

The calls came as Democrats headed home for their monthlong recess wrestling with how to handle the tax and disclosure charges against Rangel back in their districts as election season loomed. Republicans, meanwhile, raced ahead with plans to make Rangel the face of corrupt Washington under the rule of Democrats who had vowed to clean up Congress.

For his part, Rangel met with perhaps his staunchest supporters, members of the New York state delegation, in the stately Capitol parlor named for the Ways and Means Committee that he headed until March.

“He indicated there was some sloppiness” in his official papers, Rep. Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., told reporters, “but, you know, there’s no criminality here.”

House rules and credibility — not criminality — were the reasons cited by more than a half dozen House Democrats known to have called for Rangel’s resignation by late afternoon Friday.

A House panel on Thursday made public for the first time 13 charges of misusing his office and tax and disclosure violations against Rangel, 80, as it opened the trial phase of the ethics proceedings against him. If Rangel and the ethics committee do not settle the case, it goes to a public trial this fall, at the height of an election season in which every member of the House, 36 in the Senate and the Democratic majorities of both chambers are on the line.

Either conditionally or outright, Democrats calling for Rangel’s resignation included Rep. Walter Minnick of Idaho, Betty Sutton of Ohio, John Yarmuth of Kentucky, Zack Space of Ohio, Ann Kirkpatrick of Arizona and Mary Jo Kilroy of Ohio.

“Too many politicians, both Democrats and Republicans, have fallen victim to the idea that they are ‘different’ than regular folks and nothing could be further from the truth,” Kirkpatrick said in a statement.

“It is our job as members of Congress to hold each other accountable to a higher standard regardless of party,” she added. “If the serious charges against (Rangel) are accurate, he needs to resign.”

Rangel denies the charges and says the indictment released Thursday contains factual errors.

“We’ve heard Charlie in the Ways and Means Committee, and he’s addressed these charges. He never denied they happened. He always has an explanation. You can excuse one or two, but not 13,” Yarmuth told the Louisville Courier-Journal in an interview published Friday. “I don’t see how he can stay if they’re true. I believe they are.”

Back home in Rangel’s Harlem district, he remains revered and could well win reelection if his political career survives the ethics probe. One constituent said Friday she had mixed feelings after reading news accounts of the allegations against him.

“I don’t think he is 100 percent honest, but he’s no worse than other politicians,” said Charynda Morez, a college student, who was buying groceries at a deli.

She said that she didn’t know how he should be punished, but that Rangel should resign anyway. Rangel has four apartments “when there are people who don’t have a home,” she said, citing allegations that Rangel lived in four combined rent-stabilized apartments instead of one, in violation of New York City law.

Democratic leaders are urging their members to cast the election as one about a choice between their party, which under President Barack Obama has overhauled health care and Wall Street, and a GOP-tea party combination that wants to roll back Democratic accomplishments.

House Republicans relished using Rangel to change the subject — especially if he does not reach a settlement with the ethics committee. A public trial equates to a free media presentation of the misdeeds of one of the most senior Democrats in the House.

The House Republicans’ campaign arm released a list of Democrats who have not returned campaign contributions they received from Rangel during their careers and said those lawmakers would face questions about the matter from constituents during the August break.

“It’s very difficult for Democrats to make the case that this is a ‘choice’ election when the national headlines are focused around an ethics scandal that has clearly impacted the party in power,” said Ken Spain, spokesman for the National Republican Campaign Committee.

Rangel retained many supporters Friday. The New York delegation and the Congressional Black Caucus, which was co-founded by Rangel, urged their colleagues not to rush to judgment. House leaders eager to avoid alienating black voters remained mum on what Rangel should do.

Some Democrats privately said they took a small measure of comfort in one revelation. Rep. Gene Green, the Texas Democrat who led the four-member bipartisan panel of investigators, told reporters that his committee recommended a relatively mild punishment for Rangel — reprimand, a statement of wrongdoing voted by the whole House that carries no other penalty.

But statements continued to trickle out that left no doubt that at some point, Democrats would have to look out for No. 1 – themselves.

“If at the trial’s conclusion Mr. Rangel is found guilty by his peers, then he should incur the full punishment allowed by the House, including removal from office,” said Rep. Bobby Bright, D-Ala.

Ø When Valerie Jarrett was selected as Obama’s senior White House advisor and she is an avowed Socialist, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When Anita Dunn, White House Communications director said Mao Tse Tung was her favorite philosopher and the person she turned to most for inspiration, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When he appointed Carol Browner as global warming czar, and she is a well known socialist working on Cap and trade as the nation’s largest tax, people said it doesn’t matter.

Ø When he appointed Van Jones, an ex-con and avowed Communist as green energy czar, who since had to resign when this was made known, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When Tom Daschle, Obama’s pick for health and human services secretary could not be confirmed, because he was a tax cheat, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When as president of the United States , he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When he traveled around the world criticizing America and never once talking of her greatness, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When his actions concerning the middle-east seemed to support the Palestinians over Israel , our long time friend, people said it doesn’t matter.

Ø When he took American tax dollars to resettle thousands of Palestinians from Gaza to the United States , people said it doesn’t matter.

Ø When he upset Europeans allies by removing plans for a missile defense system against the Russians, people said it doesn’t matter.

Ø When he played politics in Afghanistan by not sending troops the Field Commanders said we had to have to win, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When he started spending us into a debt that was so big we could not pay it off, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When he took a huge spending bill under the guise of stimulus and used it to pay off organizations, unions and individuals that got him elected, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When he took over insurance companies, car companies, banks, etc. people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When he took away student loans from the banks and put it through the government, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When he designed plans to take over the health care system and put it under government control, people said it didn’t matter.

Ø When he set into motion a plan to take over the control of all energy in the United States through Cap and Trade, people said it didn’t matter.

When he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State , people finally woke up…….. But it was too late.

Any one of these things, in and of themselves does not really matter. But…. when you add them up one by one you get a phenomenal score that points to the fact that our Obama is determined to make America over into a Marxist/Socialist society.

All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place. All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this, do an internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a happier ending for most of America ? Personally, I like happy endings.

If you are an Obama Supporter, please do not be angry with me because I think the President of your choice is a socialist, but there are too many facts supporting this. If you seek the truth you will be richer for it. Don’t just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth. I did. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalist, Libertarians and what have you; we all need to pull together. We all must pull together or watch the demise of a society that we all love and cherish. If you are a religious person, pray for our nation.

Never before in the history of America have we been confronted with problems so huge that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy. Don’t rely on most television news and what you read in the newspapers for the truth. Search the internet. Yes, there is a lot of bad information, lies and distortions there too but you are smart enough to spot the fallacies. Newspapers are a dying breed.

They are currently seeking a bailout from the government. Do you really think they are about to print the truth? Obama praises all the television news networks except Fox who he has waged war against. There must be a reason. He does not call them down on any specifics, just a general battle against them. If they lie, he should call them out on it but he doesn’t please, find the truth, it will set you free.

Our biggest enemy is not China , Russia , and Iran ; no, our biggest enemy is a contingent of politicians in Washington DC .

The owner of the Phoenix Suns basketball team, Robert Sarver,
opposes AZ’s new immigration laws. Arizona’s Governor Jan Brewer released
the following statement in response to Sarver’s criticism of the new law:

“What if the owners of the Suns discovered that hordes of people were
sneaking into games without paying? What if they had a good idea who the

In the text in the box below, read in particular the highlighted part on Bertrand Russell. This manipulation of your food and energy supply is, disturbingly, the Agenda 21 that the UN hopes to implement as soon as it gets the power. (Can you think of a megalomaniacal US White House resident who is a likely candidate to turn over that power to it as soon as the coast is clear?).

The idea is to reduce

– energy use

– food consumption

to “sustainable” levels.

Remember that whenever the Left uses these abstractions like “sustainable,” they assign their own definitions to them that generally speaking, have about as much to do with science as the reports the IPCC got from its puppet climate research center at the University of East Anglia (which hackers exposed as being biased — not to say a fraud).

Ok, according to one of these New World Order geniuses, we need to cut back the world’s population drastically, to just a percentage of its present level.

How is this starting to happen now?

Let’s see:

– a Gulf oil spill that Obama made absolutely no attempt to deal with, even turning down help from abroad that could have had it under control in a week. This helps the N W O strategy immensely by making the US poorer, particularly in the Gulf region, where thousands of jobs have been lost so far.

– a financial crisis orchestrated by liberal government policies that encouraged banks to lend to the insolvent and at the very least, made no attempt to control such outrageous policies as no-downpayment, no-doc loans (the Bush administration, to its everlasting shame, also pushed the no-downpayment policy at its HUD site — thus, the scheme is operating across the aisle, a compelling reason NOT to vote for a known RINO).

–Financial “reform” that will help destroy America’s top rank as a financial center and also make America poorer.

–Government takeover of key industries in ways that will favor job-killing labor unions and reward union bosses for closing more US factories.

– Borrowing an unprecedented amount from abroad for “stimulus,” which even the G-20 and G-8 partners recommend against.

– Obamacare, which puts us even much further in the hole at a time when we desperately need financial recovery.

Obama is implementing the will of a foreign power like no president or politician has ever done before him, and his efforts at “sustained development” will definitely hurt America.

If he succeeds, we will fall.

If he fails, we can survive.

That’s the way I see it.

British Prince’s New Global Unit Targets Food, Water, and Energy *

The Telegraph article below informs us that Prince Charles, the man with special Royal genes and “the heir to the throne”, has launched a new global unit, “the International Sustainability Unit”. The unit will work with governments and branches of the UN to form a one world opinion and strategy (a legal global accord) to manage the world’s supply of food, water and energy. Of course the pampered Prince will not lead the unit, it will be overseen by a former government advisor to the unpopular Tony Blair, Justin Mundy. The extract following the Telegraph’s promotion allotment shows this has been part of the plan for a long while and did not spring from the dim crevasses of Charlie’s mind.

Elitist Bertrand Russell, 3rd Earl Russell (1872-1970), was a Nobel Prize winner, who experimented with education techniques for young children, was hired by the British government, and was an award winner of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. It’s safe to say he was a highly respected man by the excessively rich dominant minority whom he was apart of. In his book “The Impact of Science of Society” (1952) he recommended when we’ve reached the globalization stage that an international authority should be setup to manage the security of the world’s food capital. On page 124 he said, “To deal with this problem it will be necessary to find ways of preventing an increase in world population. If this is to be done otherwise than by wars, pestilence, and famines, it will demand a powerful international authority. This authority should deal out the world’s food to the various nations in proportion to their population at the time of the establishment of the authority. If any nation subsequently increased its population it should not on that account receive any more food. The motive for not increasing population would therefore be very compelling. What method of preventing an increase might be preferred should be left to each state to decide.”

The top say today that 6 billion is too many people and 100 years ago they said 1 billion people was too many. It’s not surprising the wealthy dominate minority all have the same opinions on these agendas since they just mingle within their own circles. Prince Charles and his father fly around the world on luxury jets to give us this message (as published by the Telegraph, June 10 2010): “The Prince said the Earth could not ’sustain us all’, particularly if a ‘vast proportion’ is consuming natural resources at ‘Western levels’.”

Outsourcing manufacturing to China, bankrupting the West by bailing out private banks with monstrous debt, and then whacking on new taxes should help a great deal in lowering Western levels, don’t you think? These types of people implementing a security consensus on the world’s food, water, and energy supplies will not be beneficial for us, even when propaganda says everything they do is good.

Obama appears to be content as he travels around America touting the success of his failed economic policies. In a Michigan automobile plant he had to almost demand applause as he voiced the success of his policies involving Union Baliouts. The workers just could not get the point of his lies but he could care less.

As Obama played golf and the oil spill continued Iran continued its pursuit of a nuclear weapon. As Obama directed the DOJ to sue Arizone and denied border invasion as a problem Iran continued to constuct a nuclear weapon. As Obama took another vacation and played more golf Iran continued its construction of nuclear weaponry. As Obama claimed to have ’saved’ millions of jobs and talked up a failing economy Iran…well, you get the picture…at least I hope you do.

Obama is using every device he can to downplay the threat of a nuclear armed Iran and his supporters blindly defend his positions and his apparent ineptness’s.

Rather than acting as a President and someone intent on unifying a troubled nation he is doing anything but that. He sues Arizona for trying to deter Illegal Immigration, tries to stop all oil workers along the Gulf of Mexico and has no explanation other than to lamely say, “I know what’s best.”

In Obama’s mind what is best is that America cannot be allowed to realize that Iran will test its first nuclear weapon in months! Not years…months!

What is even more shameful is he is doing all within his power to deter Israel from being able to defend itself as he openly supports HAMAS and its terrorist intents.

When will Obama come to realize that being a President is not to blindly follow an ideology that is a proven failure? When will he realize that a nuclear attack will not exclude him as a target? Unless his intent is to be a martyr for some weird Islamic cause he had better wake up and realize that he was elected as President not as the eteral campaigner!

Evil is as evil does! It does not take a Forest Gump to see that!
