Vegas Target of Yet Another Obama Attack
February 3, 2010
Las Vegas, NV: President Barack Obama yesterday openly discouraged people from coming to Las Vegas, the second time he has done so in the past year. The Nevada Republican Party strongly condemned the President for his latest attack, and is demanding an immediate, public apology by the President for his statement.
“President Obama has illustrated, yet again, his willingness to pit some parts of the country against others in order to score cheap political points,” said Nevada Republican Party Chairman Dr. Christopher Comfort. “President Obama is clearly out of touch with Nevada’s hard-working, tax-paying citizens, if he can so casually undermine the economic engine of the state of Nevada.”

Nevada GOP Chairman Denounces Federal Debt
January 29, 2010
Las Vegas, NV: Nevada Republican Party Chairman Christopher Comfort came out in strong opposition to the United States Senate’s decision to raise the federal debt limit to $14.3 trillion, issuing the following statement:
“Seventy-one percent of the electorate stands in opposition to the increase in the federal debt limit. Nevada Republicans and our independent friends call for a reduction in federal spending in addition to a reduction in the federal bureaucracy. Nevada’s Democrats in Washington must finally begin to give immediate consideration to better governance on behalf of the people in our state. Nevada voters this November will reject the Democrats who have brought us to our financial knees, in favor of common-sense Republicans, who can and will guide the country, and our state, back in the right fiscal direction.”
The vote was cast along party lines, with 39 Republican Senators voting against the increase, including Nevada’s John Ensign.

Titus Learns Valuable Political Lesson – One Year Too Late
Nevada GOP Welcomes Congresswoman Titus’ Early Prediction Of Defeat
January 29, 2010
Las Vegas, NV: The Nevada Republican Party welcomed Democrat Congresswoman Dina Titus’ announcement of her recognition that the November 2010 elections will produce widespread Republican victories, including in her own state of Nevada.
“Congresswoman Titus’ remarks confirm that even Democrats recognize a growing trend in Nevada and across the country,” Nevada Republican Party Chairman Chris Comfort said. “The Massachusetts election of Scott Brown to the United States Senate is a precursor of things to come. The Democratic Party has failed to live up to its own hype and failed to deliver on its promises, and voters are starting to take notice.”
