Meetings to Select Delegates to Clark County Republican Convention
All Registered Republican Voters in Clark County Eligible to Participate
February 2, 2010 – Las Vegas: The Clark County Republican Party (CCRP) will hold its annual precinct meetings for all Clark County precinct on February 20th at five locations throughout the valley, according to party Chairman Bob Ruckman. “With the tremendous growth in our party’s membership since the election of a grass-roots party leadership team – up about five-fold from our previous membership levels,” Ruckman explained, “we are expecting a significant turn-out of members to join with us in taking the first step toward ensuring that the CCRP continues to lead the state’s return to commonsense conservative government principles in 2010.”

There is no cost to Republicans to participate in the precinct meetings. There will be a fee for participation in the County Convention. The precinct meetings are for registered Republicans; however, individuals who are not currently registered to vote in Clark County, or who are not registered as Republicans, can register at the CCRP headquarters at 574 South Decatur Blvd. or to learn more about registering to vote in Clark County, go to the Clark County Election Department’s Voter Registration Webpage at: http://www.accessclarkcounty.com/depts/Election/English/Pages/votequal.aspx.

Registered Republicans can find information on the CCRP precinct meetings at http://www.clarkgop.org/,” Ruckman pointed out. “At the precinct meetings, we will be electing delegates to the CCRP annual County Convention, to be held on March 19, 2010, at the Orleans. As an incentive to encourage members to participate in our precinct meetings, we will allow members to prepay for their participation at the County Convention and receive a 30 percent discount as well. Members can prepay at the rate of $35 – if they wait until the day of the Convention, the fee will be $50 per participant – so I urge everyone to come to our precinct meetings and pre-register and prepay for the convention – and save $15 in the process,” Ruckman said.

We encourage all Registered Republicans to attend their precinct’s meeting, as well as our County convention. It’s been said that “all politics is local,” and for those who care about their county, their state and their country, the place to start is at their CCRP precinct meeting on February 20.”
Pursuant to Nevada state law (NRS 293.135), which requires each major political party, in every year during which a general election is held, to have a precinct meeting held for each precinct, the Clark County Republican Party will hold county-wide precinct meetings on February 20, 2010.

All persons registered in the party and residing in the precinct are entitled to attend their precinct meetings. Delegates to the Republican Party’s county convention will be elected at the meeting by those in attendance. Set forth below are the time and place at which your precinct meeting will be held, together with the number of delegates to be elected from each precinct.
If you wish to participate in the organization of your party for the coming two years, please attend your precinct meeting.
Precinct meetings will be held on February 20th, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. All precinct meetings will be held at the locations specified on this day, according to the schedule shown.
