Seventeen years ago we said that Los Angeles County’s number one import was poverty. We predicted a calamity for California. We were right. It is here now. Last year 142,000 more people left California for other states than arrived from those states. California is still growing because of immigration, legal and illegal, and those who can, will vote for Democrats who will give more rights to illegal aliens.
    For seventeen years the people of California have been lied-to about illegal immigration. The worst offender was the Los Angeles Times. When we said L.A. was importing poverty we were using a new report published by the county that had astounding new statistics.
    The Times said it contained nothing new.
    When Gray Davis killed Proposition 187, the Times said the courts did it. When we tried to recall Davis, the Times wouldn’t print a word about it. When we tried to warn the people about Antonio Villaraigosa’s ties to Mexico City, the Times forced the Daily News to pull the ad.
    The same thing is now going on nation-wide. The head of our Homeland Security lies about how much fence we have and that the border is under control.
    The question facing all of us is — how do we overcome the lies and save ourselves?
    American Border Patrol says next year it will work harder on telling the truth about the border, not just gathering facts about it. What will you do?
