Two blacks beat White student to death – ‘not racially motivated’   A student at Kent State University who was severely beaten last week has died at an Ohio hospital. Christopher Kernich, 23, of Fairborn died Saturday at Akron City Hospital. Police said three males in a car nearly drove into a group of students on Nov. 15 and began assaulting them. Two other students were assaulted but Kernich was the only one seriously injured. Convicted black purse-snatcher stabed White woman in Target parking lot  NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Police said they received a tip that will help them charge a homeless man connected to a stabbing that occurred Oct. 27 outside a west Nashville Target store. Convicted robber Timothy Kelly, Jr., 23, was identified as the man who stabbed Barbara Futter, 46, and robbed her of her purse outside a Target. Kelly was already in custody in connection with another robbery. He also faces charges for stealing a woman’s purse Oct. 25 in the parking lot of the Charlotte Pike Walmart. elly was convicted in July 2008 of robbing an 84-year-old man outside the victim’s home. Photos Released of Black Murder Suspects in White Police Killing   The youngest suspect in the murder of a Metro police officer will be charged as an adult. North Las Vegas police say the 17-year-old has been transferred to the North Las Vegas Detention Center where the two other suspects are being held. One of those suspects, 18-year-old Prentice Marshall, was released from the hospital on Friday. He had suffered a gunshot wound in an exchange of gunfire with Metro Officer Trevor Nettleton. Marshall, 20-year-old Saul Williams, and the 17-year-old are facing murder and robbery charges. Police have also added gang enhancement charges. Police say all three have documented gang activity in their past. Investigators say the three suspects ambushed Nettleton in the open garage of his home near Bruce and Lone Mountain as he returned home from work. White veteran robbed, killed on way to deposit money from benefit – by black robbers  Army veteran William “Bill” Burtner survived Vietnam and dedicated his life to helping other veterans. On Monday, Burtner was about to enter a Midlothian bank to deposit money the south suburb’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2580 had raised during a benefit. He never made it inside. Burtner, 65, was assaulted and robbed outside the bank. He died Wednesday night at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. An autopsy today concluded Burtner died of hypertensive cardiovascular disease and fractured ribs from the assault, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Denver police arrest 32 young black males in series of racial assaults on Whites and Hispanics The Denver Police Department arrested 32 men and juvenile boys after a months-long undercover investigation into what police said were racially motivated assaults and robberies in downtown Denver. A task force composed of Denver police, the FBI and the Denver district attorney’s office investigated 26 incidents in which groups of black males verbally harassed, assaulted and at times robbed White or Latino males. All of the suspects are young black males, most of whom told police they were associated with either the Rollin’ 60s Crips gang or the Black Gangster Disciples gang. Black Teen sentenced to 55 years in prison for murder   Indianapolis – A 15-year-old boy has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for fatally shooting a man outside his Indianapolis apartment. Prosecutors say Nevin Brooks was 14 when he killed 27-year-old David Hardwick in March 2008. Brooks wasn’t arrested in the case until January, after a juvenile court judge had sent him to a rehabilitation program at Boys Town in Omaha, Neb., for his involvement in armed robberies. A Marion County judge said Thursday that Brooks’ age weighed heavily in the sentencing decision, but that society must be protected from his violent behavior. The teen’s father is in prison for a 2001 murder conviction, but Hardwick’s widow says being failed by his family didn’t excuse the shooting. Hardwick was a jewelry store manager with three children and two stepchildren.“I’m happy with the sentence,” said Danielle Hardwick, the wife of murder victim David Hardwick. Killer Nigerian migrant rapist loses sentence bid   A man who raped and murdered a White Belfast mother-of-one has lost an appeal against his minimum 22-year sentence. Nigerian national Kristoff Emmanuel Alauya, 24, was jailed in January for the murder of Grace Moore. The 38-year-old’s body was discovered by her teenage daughter at their home in Suffolk estate in November 2006. On Friday, Appeal Court judges ruled the sentence for the “truly heinous” killing was neither wrong in principle, nor manifestly excessive. Alauya, who lived in County Carlow in the Irish Republic, stabbed, strangled and raped Ms Moore after meeting her in a city centre nightclub. He then ransacked her home, stealing electrical items and cheque books. Afterwards, he flagged down a taxi and went to a garage to buy food. Derrick A. Fox, 28, took Malaki Lindley to a Kokomo hospital early Sunday unconscious and unresponsive, said Kokomo police Lt. Don Whitehead. An autopsy later determined that the boy had died from blunt force trauma to the head. Fox was taken into custody on Wednesday and preliminarily charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death, Whitehead said. Tulsa black arrested on complaints of kidnapping and murderof a 13-year-old White girl   Tulsa police have arrested a man in connection with the disappearance of a 13-year-old Union Alternative School student. Online jail records indicate that Marquis Milton Bullock, 18, faces charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping. Investigators believe he picked up Cori Baker, 13, after school on Friday afternoon. Baker reportedly told friends that Bullock was going to take her to the mall to get a Christmas present for her sister. Police documents indicate that detectives arrested Bullock after interviewing witnesses who said that he has a relationship with Baker’s sister.The arrest report indicates that Bullock’s description matches that of the man seen picking the girl up from school, and his vehicle — a red Firebird — was caught on tape at the school parking lot. Police labeled the death suspicious, and authorities found a small DNA sample on her underwear and body. Mitchell lived in nearby Middleburg at the time of the girl’s death, police said Thursday. At one time, Murphy was found incompetent to stand trial and was put on medication.
