A letter to my “representatives” in Washington.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security. Sec. 222. The reason why men enter into society, is the preservation of their property; and the end why they chuse and authorize a legislative, is, that there may be laws made, and rules set, as guards and fences to the properties of all the members of the society, to limit the power, and moderate the dominion, of every part and member of the society: for since it can never be supposed to be the will of the society, that the legislative should have a power to destroy that which every one designs to secure, by entering into society, and for which the people submitted themselves to legislators of their own making; whenever the legislators endeavour to take away, and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any farther obedience, and are left to the common refuge, which God hath provided for all men, against force and violence. Whensoever therefore the legislative shall transgress this fundamental rule of society; and either by ambition, fear, folly or corruption, endeavour to grasp themselves, or put into the hands of any other, an absolute power over the lives, liberties, and estates of the people; by this breach of trust they forfeit the power the people had put into their hands for quite contrary ends, and it devolves to the people, who. have a right to resume their original liberty, and, by the establishment of a new legislative, (such as they shall think fit) provide for their own safety and security, which is the end for which they are in society. We, the People of these united States, have been suffering for years, no, decades, as our elected Representatives have slowly, yet continually, over stepped the authority granted to them by the People, as outlined in the Constitution for the united States. We no longer will tolerate this infringement upon our rights. These rights have not been conferred upon us by you, but by our Creator from the foundation of the world, and therefore cannot be taken away nor abridged nor modified by you or any other entity. We, the People of the united States have chosen this form of representative government to secure our rights and freedoms. You have been chosen by us to represent us in keeping these rights and freedoms secure and you are failing to do so. You have refused to listen to the voices of those you ‘represent’ and have chosen to “do what is best for the People” in your opinion. You were chosen to voice the will of the People, not treat us as ignorant children. You have continually supported legislation that has been contrary to the will of the People. You have recently supported the Health care reform, which will NOT reform health care, but will place more restrictions and burdens upon the People and increase the indebtedness of our country for our children and grandchildren. You know this piece of legislation is NOT good for us, for if it were, you would not have included an exemption for yourself and your staff in it.
The “Cap and Trade” bill is based on political ‘science’, not actual science, as has been proven this past week, by the release of hacked emails by those very ‘authorities’ used to push this legislation. Emails speak of covering up the “tricks” used to distort the data, and deleting information before accessed by the public. This piece of legislation is for one purpose only and that is to further enslave the People you ‘represent’. It will increase utility costs, burdening the People and businesses, without having any effect of global climate. CO2 has been called the culprit responsible for “global warming”. CO2 is essential to all life on this planet. All plant life takes in CO2 to survive and in the process, gives off oxygen, which all animal life depends on for life. If man is responsible for “global warming”, then is he also responsible for the warming trend on Mars, which was reported several years ago? Our Earth has always gone through periods of warming and cooling and it always will. It did so before man’s entry upon the scene and will continue to do so after man is no longer a player on the planet. Your attempts at controlling climate would be laughable, if it were not for the horrendous consequences it would produce.
We the People of the united States, in the words of ‘Howard Beal’, are “mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore”. You were chosen to represent us and you have failed miserably. We request your resignation immediately. If you fail to do so, you WILL be fired next time your name is on the ballot, if not sooner. You do not realize the resolve, the size nor the power of We, the People.
