I WANT TO KNOW?
I want to know how long our U.S. Government, with all it corrupt, lying politicians are going to have us Americans finance the war against the EVIL Muslims via buying this oil?
At a minimum of $2.50 per gallon for gas, they are making Billions of Dollars off of us American to finance this war.
Why haven’t we began drilling for our own oil and independence?
Beside the EVIL Muslims, who is making all the money?

Quite obviously, domestic production cannot meet demand; furthermore, tapping our unclaimed reserves would take several years by liberal estimates and over a decade by conservative estimates and oil drilling/refinement would threaten the tourist economies of states like Florida(take a look at Galveston Beach in Texas and consider the consequences of normal production, then think about an oil rig in a hurricane). Supposing even if we could increase crude oil supply, all of our refineries are working at near 100% capacity, meaning we’d have to export the oil to foreign refineries, or and then import it again.
Maybe it would be wise… some might go as far as to say… prudent, to fund some research for wind, solar, and tidal energy, among other ideas for domestic energy? Perhaps we could consider restructuring the national power grid for efficiency, then privatizing it? Maybe even set some higher efficiency standards? Create an effective mass-transit system? Start planning our cities so that cars are not a necessity? Hell, maybe we could even set up some sort of program to get extraneous gaz-guzzlers off the roads and replace them with higher efficiency cars?

Vox, Liberals have been claiming, “It will take ten years….” Well, as they have been stalling for 30+ years they have cost us 20+ years of production! I can easily add that! We HAVE FUNDED research…funded it until I am sick of hearing that phrase. Libs say…NO toNuclear…NO to POWER LINES to convey solar and wind energy…NO to transporting natural gas…When will you realize that tyheir purpose is to deny anything of meaningful solution? Just like the CRA that caused our bank and real property failures…the Liberals broght it on and now have lied so long as to convince America..”I didn’t do it!” Gimme a break!

Maybe you missed 11 billion dollars in the Recovery and Reinvestment Act prescribed to make the grid better and the 5 billion to reduce home consumption, and 4.5 billion to make federal buildings more energy efficient, and the 6.3 billion to stimulate the same efforts on a state level. Maybe the significance of 700,000 cars upgrading their fuel efficiency isn’t serious. You like to point fingers, play the demonizing game, promote unhealthy, ad hominem discussion, but Republicans have had just as long to correct this problem and liberals make up the majority of the very few doing anything about this problem. We got the wake-up call in 1973 with the Arab Oil Embargo… you remember that?–Nixon was in office, he was that Republican who served before Ford, Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. But that is completely and totally irrelevant, the past is set and America, the left, the right, and the majority are still in the same situation of dependence on unstable regions.

Vox, there is NO XPENDIUTRE that creates JOBS! Which 700,000 cars? Further waste. You seem to forget it was the CRA that got us in this fix and the inept members of Congress that filibustered all attempts to correct this! President Bush, in 2001, warned Congress of “A recession of epic proportions,” IF the CRA was not reined in! There was a Bill FILIBUSTED by Dodd (Senate) and Frank (House) that would have curtailed this foreclosure mess…You claim Republican responsibilty but Congressional Records bear me out! The lies told by current Liberals are proven wrong and to be lies by the same Congressional Records. Why not get off the KOOL AID and join the world!
