NAACP to Obama: Where’s the Damn Jobs?
By HHR | November 18th, 2009 | Category: Featured |How many of you remember the 1984 Wendy’s commercial catch phrase “Where’s the Beef” popularized by actress Clara Peller? We all recall her face of disgust when she gets a huge bun thrown at her only to find a tiny patty inside. In anger she says “Where’s the Beef’? Well, in a similar way many civil rights leaders are looking at Obama’s mass spending bailout and asking “Where’s the Jobs”.
According to the New York Times many of the nation’s largest Civil Rights organizations in the nation is slowly becoming alarmed by the loss in jobs in urban and minority communities. Many in the civil rights movement lobbied hard to get the stimulus passed so that relief would come quickly to there areas. The article seems to suggest that even President Obama” s fiercest allies are becoming more than a little suspect!
