ANOTHER LIBERAL WITH A CLOSED MIND

I was walking my two pups and met a man of about 70 years in age. After exchanging pleasantries I asked how he saw the future of the United States. His reply was not startling but his refusal to face facts was.

“The whole downfall of America started with George Bush. He demanded that banks loan out home loans with no checking of the means to repay those loans.” 

I asked if he was aware of Jimmy Carter’s Community Redevelopment Act and Bill Clinton’s pressing banks to loosen loan restrictions to allow minorities to buy homes? I also asked if he knew of ACORN’S having threatened banks with harm if loans were denied minorities for any reason.

His reply was,” That is a load of crap…I talked to many folks and learned that that is a lie told by Republicans.”

Then I asked if he would read the truth about the Democrats furthering irresponsible home loan lending through legislation and by standing firm against any legislation that would correct home loan lending practices.

His reply was angering as he said, “You say there is proof of Carter and Clinton demanding loans be made with no thought of responsibility and say that Bush tried tio stop it.”

“Yes,” that is right,k was my reply.

“Well, that is a lie because I was told otherwise.”

I inquired as to who told him otherwise and what proof he had seen. I also offered to show him proof as well as actual video productions of Democrat politicians blocking any attempts to correct the problems that would cause the downfall of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and videos of Bush trying to correct that.

The reply I heard was staggering, “There is nothing you could show me as my mind is made up! Bush caused it and that is that!” With that said he walked away as if he had actually said something of substance.

As I walked away I was thinking, ‘People like that are allowed to vote and actually procreate! They get to ignore truth.’ Then I said to myself, ‘Lee, you just met another Liberal.’
