New Poll: Sandoval Still Leads,

Gibbons Closes, Montandon Trails

(Nevada News & Views) – A new poll in the Nevada Republican gubernatorial primary race conducted over the weekend by PMI, Inc. for Nevada News & Views found support for former federal judge Brian Sandoval slipping slightly, while support for embattled incumbent Gov. Jim Gibbons inched upward. 

Meanwhile the campaign of former North Las Vegas Mayor Mike Montandon continues to have trouble gaining traction. 

The automated phone poll of likely GOP primary voters statewide elicited 4,796 total responses which broke down as follows:

Sandoval: 36 percent

Gibbons: 24 percent

Montandon: 7 percent

None of the Above: 33 percent
