When you set pen to paper, or in our case, words to a computer screen and you have the privilege of being able to share those words with a large audience, you have no way of knowing how those words, mental images or ideas will affect others.   However, once in a while, a response to those words will bounce in from no where and you get an inkling of how they have impacted one person, at least.  Such was the case the other day when we received a response from a gentleman from West Virginia, to our article entitled, “What If The Left Keeps Squeezing?“

We’d like to share with you his opening comments:

Dear Ron:

“Thank you for your great writing over the years.  Special mention is deserved for your analogy of the cat and dog.
Your latest article on CFP, to say it is compelling is an understatement, for me personally that is.  You and other callers for freedoms and justice have written much that have been cause for food for thought and call to action.  I am only one person, I am a Patriot and citizen of this great Republic.  I am taking it upon myself to declare my solidarity and fealty [pledge of fidelity] to my country.  Attached below is my story and my solemn oath to my country and fellow patriots such as ourselves.  There are many such as myself.  I think it is appropriate to state that many have had enough of the trespasses on our freedom and liberty.  I think the crux of the matter starts with each Patriot on an individual level. Therefore this is my Declaration of Independence and Intent of Redress.  This took a bit of time in thought and searching of the heart.  It is myself as Patriot and guardian of what matters most.  God bless you and your loved ones and our country too.”

But it wasn’t his congratulatory tone of his opening comments that struck us.  It was his ode and pledge to his America that followed.  He is a simple, but proud man.  Proud of who he is and proud of his work and his craft.  He is not only proud to be an American, he is grateful to be an American.  This man represents what is now coming to the surface in millions of Americans across the Country because of the arrogant and unprecedented push by Obama and the U. S. Congress to control every aspect of our lives with unconstitutional legislation (i.e. Health Care, Cap and Trade, etc).  Americans are finally pushing back after taking almost 100 years of slightly nudging America and Americans by the government, to now “fundamentally transforming America” (Obama’s exact words) into a socialist country.  At last, Americans are standing up and saying, “Not No ….. But Hell No!”

Again, we would like to share some of the excerpts of this proud man’s ode and pledge to his America.

“I am a common man. There is nothing unique about me.  I have the privilege to live in a society singularly unique in human history.   I have earned a living as a welder for 33 years.  It is a profession I take deep pride in, it is my trade of choice from grade school.  Working metal fascinated me and it still does.  It has provided me with enough income to stay above the poverty line.   I can tell you I worked my butt off to earn it.”

“Throughout my life it has been necessary to discover methods around and techniques to preserve my financial assets from countless increasing assaults on my hard-won buck by our governments and commercialism.  These are meager assets, usually less than one paycheck from zero sum cash funds.  I do not borrow money, have no credit cards, my wife and I saved and worked to buy our own property and home out of pocket.  It is hard but rewarding to live within our means.  Proudly, even though we are poor in cash, we are rich in assets that allow us to keep cozy comfy warm in winter and place healthy quality food on the table.  We are grateful for our riches.”

“The point of my story revolves around choices in life.  I have choices and I exercise them to the fullest.  Choices made of necessity, personal ethics and pride.  Pride of choice, pride of having choices because in this country it is a God-given right and constitutionally guaranteed way of life.  No one is going to give me a hand out, over my dead body am I taking one either.  I am my own master; within the law I make my own rules and stick to my principles.”

“I am proud to be born into a country that assures my Liberty, allows for self gained prosperity, a country where self-determination is guaranteed as one of the main tenets on how to live one’s life.  The honorable tenet of thrift as a virtue is written in our founding documents also.  I am free to worship the God of my choice ….. freedom to care for my body as I determine is right for me ….. the right to protect myself and family and my country from enemies and crime, through peaceful discourse, or God forbid, through use of arms if need be.  Warranted that justice is served against wrongs and protection from crime anarchy and foreign invasion our law officers and armed services provide.”

This brave and proud American goes on to declare his personal oath to America, the land he loves:

I will be the representative of the United States Constitution, the Bill of Rights and The Declaration of IndependenceI choose to defend and protect my country from all enemies foreign and domestic.  I choose to employ peaceful means through thoughtful considerate discourse and constructive lawful civil protest, as granted in the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence.  I choose to vote for persons who are seeking elective office regardless of party affiliation.  I choose to vote for said people if they have chosen and stated in public forum to protect the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights and from all enemies foreign or domestic, while upholding constitutional government.  I choose to donate my money to assist these candidates.  Further, I choose to exercise the citizen’s right as assigned me, as written in the Bill of Rights and defined as just lawful cause for redress, as declared in the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America and by my sworn obligation to protect and defend and to seek redress for wrongs committed contrary to the laws contained in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights of the United States of America, with resort of use of arms only if all and any lawfully peaceful humanly reasonable lawful methods of redress, civil protest, peaceful acts of discourse and reasoned peaceful defense, are exhausted in accordance within Constitutional law as set forth in the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights and as prescribed duty defined in the Declaration of Independence of the United States Of America, as follows;”

“That I, proud American that I am, do solemnly swear on this day October 30 in the year of our Lord God 2009 I am a Patriot and Natural Born Citizen of the United States of America with clear and sound mind, free from influence and or prejudice;”

“That  I do solemnly swear I am not affiliated with or abide by any entity or person, persons, groups, or party advocating or working towards overthrow and or committing acts of treason and or attempting usurpation against the United States of America.”

“I do solemnly swear I am one man alone who having stated his belief in and who honors and abides by the laws of the United States of America as written in the Constitution, of duties prescribed in the Declaration of Independence for redress as defined in the Bill of Rights of the United States of America.”

“I finally do solemnly swear my intent and or action is to abide by, uphold and protect all and any laws granted to duties prescribed as to myself as a natural born citizen of the United States of America, as written in the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration Of Independence of the United States of America,”

“So help me God.”

So yes Virginia, there are millions of true, patriotic Americans and their massive, collective hand is rising above the din of propaganda, distortions, hype and lies, to directly challenge and if necessary, smite, what progressivism, socialism, Marxism and communism are trying to do to our America.  The progressives will not succeed because the almighty power of these true and patriotic Americans will be, in the end, invincible.  Freedom will not die on this generation’s watch.
