Young school children reading books AND singing songs praising the CURRENT president who's done nothing but push contraversial policies that create unprecedented authority for the Fed Gov is very different from having them read books about a president 150 years ago who accomplished great things in history. If you don't see the danger in indoctrinating children into a mentality of leader-worship then you shouldn't be a teacher because you know nothing about history. How many books did you have them read about Bush Jr or Sr, Clinton, Reagan WHILE they were still in their first year in office? Or ever? Aside from being black what has he accomplished beyond being elected? What makes him more deserving of praise than the other guys I just mentioned? As a teacher don't you think it would be wiser to wait until he's out of office before we start teaching kids to praise him? What if he turns out to be a terrible president?
