Look Here to See What’s in the Health Care Bill: CHILLING!
Take a look at what actually is in the Health Care bill. Obama makes disingenuous comments like “You’ll still keep your doctor” or “You’ll keep your existing health care.” He is either lying to us or he has no idea what is in it. Take a peek at the full report, or look at some of the highlights here:
Pg 22 of the HC Bill mandates the Government will audit books of all employers that self insure. Can you imagine what that will do to small businesses? Every one will abandon “self insurance” and go on Government insurance. So when Obama says that there will still be private health care, it’s simply a lie: this mandate will force employers to abandon their private plans.
Pg 30 Sec 123 of HC bill – a Government committee (good luck with that!) will decide what treatments/benefits a person may receive.
Pg 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill – YOUR HEALTHCARE WILL BE RATIONED! (We all knew this, because health care is rationed in Canada and Britain, but Obama kept saying it would not be).
Pg 42 of HC Bill – The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC Benefits for you. You will have no choice!
PG 50 Section 152 in HC bill – HC will be provided to ALL non US citizens, illegal or otherwise.
Pg 58 HC Bill – Government will have real-time access to individual’s finances and a National ID Healthcard will be issued!
Pg 59 HC Bill lines 21-24 Government will have direct access to your bank accts for election funds transfer
PG 65 Sec 164 is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in Unions & community organizations (read: ACORN).
Pg 72 Lines 8-14 Government will create an HC Exchange to bring private HC plans under Government control.
PG 84 Sec 203 HC bill – Government mandates ALL benefit packages for private HC plans in the Exchange.
PG 85 Line 7 HC Bill – Specifics of Benefit Levels for Plans = The Government will ration your Healthcare!
PG 91 Lines 4-7 HC Bill – Government mandates linguistic appropriate services. Example – Translation for illegal aliens.
Pg 95 HC Bill Lines 8-18 The Government will use groups, i.e. ACORN & Americorps, to sign up individuals for Government HC plan.

Pg 469 – Community Based Home Medical Services/Non profit orgs. (ACORN Medical Services here?)
Page 472 Lines 14-17 PAYMENT TO COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION. 1 monthly payment to a community-based organization. (Like ACORN?)
PG 489 Sec 1308 The Government will cover Marriage & Family therapy. Which means they will insert Government into our marriages.
Pg 494-498 Government will cover Mental Health Services including defining, creating, rationing those services. You’d better speak up now before you are on the “advanced care consultation” list.
Recently I had a talk with a colleague (one on my side of the aisle) about the increasingly dire threat posed to this country by the unholy trinity of Obama/Reid-Pelosi/ and the media. The upshot of this person’s question to me was, “What can you say that will give me some hope? Some optimism? Is there a way we can reach the kids, the students, and the younger people?”
We aren’t quite “done” yet, but the old thermometer is edging up by the day, and I don’t mean global warming. Cap and Trade (i.e., “cap and tax”) has passed the House and our hopes of avoiding federal enviro-nazis swooping into our homes and clamping down “do not sell” restrictions on our houses until we comply with their inane regulations hangs on the votes of a few left-wing Democrat senators who in the past have shown no inclination to challenge Harry Reid. (You see, the Democrat Party has this habit of actually punishing so-called “mavericks” who criticize Dem leadership.) Real-life Gong-Show refugees such as Al Franken now will vote on your right to drive what you want and eat what you want. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
There is new twitter about the C02 pollution of computers. Once the computer becomes the next SUV, what sites, exactly, do you think will be deemed the most “polluting?” You got it: Drudge, FreeRepublic; Redstate; and a host of conservative sites. Guess which ones will be ok? Huffington Post, MSNBC, and Daily Kos.
But it gets worse: the National Socialist (that would be Nazi, if you were in Germany) Health Care system that is now about to come up for a vote will absolutely eliminate private health care options. Do not kid yourself: They are going to say that they aren’t going to interfere with your right to go to your “own doctor” or have your own “private health insurance.” But there won’t be non-government doctors or private health insurance if the government mandates them out of existence.
Do not forget that this was a major goal of Hillarycare just 15 years ago. Once people found out, it caused a firestorm – but times have changed. The media was atrocious then, but it’s a 100 percent propaganda machine for the Left today. A few holdouts, such as Fox and Rush, remind me of the brave Dutch shouting at the storm troopers before they were gunned down. If Health Care or Cap and Tax fail, the media will see it as the failure of their guy, and in their view, Obama must not be allowed to fail.
Even still, I hear people who want to “get past all this partisanship.” Sorry, but GROW UP.
Our system from the beginning has pitted one group against another out of fear of the very giant government that is metastasizing before our eyes. James Madison didn’t like “parties” or “factions,” but he finally admitted that they were absolutely necessary to fragment power. In Washington today, however, we nearly have one political party: the Democrats, who march in lock step with Obama while the cowardly Republicans who, aside from a few heroes (John Kyl, Jeff Sessions, Jim DeMint come to mind in the Senate, and most of those remaining in the House), are merely “me-too Democrats.”
For our system to work there has to be a clear choice, not a mushy middle, because the mushy middle always, always, always gravitates left. There is a “presumption of power” on the left –conservatives, by nature, do not like government, don’t trust it, and do not want to use it to advance their ends, which they see as advanced through liberty, individual achievement, and entrepreneurship.
If Republicans do not unite 100 percent –and soon – behind the idea that the unholy trinity must be stopped dead or we will not have the American Republic that we have all known all our lives, it may soon be too late. Maybe it’s time all of you got just a little mad.

Its sad that America is not aware of all the things that are in the Health Care Bill.
I’m so happy I ran across your website. I’ve taken notes on it and believe me,
I’ll be emailing my Congressmen and telling them how I feel about it. This
country is headed towards Socialism, and I believe that was Obama’s agenda
from the beginning. At least I can say I didn’t vote for Obama, so I have the
right to say “I told you so when this country goes to hell”.

This is not a very large surprise to those of us who have read the entire bill. It’s disgusting. However, what is more disgusting is that emails/phonecalls and other communications to our representatives either go unanswered or a form email is sent telling us how good it is for us–with the exception of Speaker Pelosi. Apparently she does not accept email as her mailbox is full.

Anyway, the insurance companies are already playing god with our health, e.g., arbitrary rising of premiums, deciding which drugs/treatments will be “ok’ed” and which denied. Of course, the government itself deciding still other facets of our healthcare. Wouldn’t it be more productive to examine and critique this existing and lamentable situation rather than send nutjob emails talking fearfully about “National Socialist Healthcare”? Dear Management,
I am a died-in-the wool Democrat and was most anxious to have them take power after the fiasco that was George Bush. I was unsure about the Health Care Proposal because the media seemed scarce on details of the plan.
Based on the above highlights/lowlights of the above, I am firmly against the propose HC bill as it exists today. Something needs to be done about healthcare but not at the plan currently exists.
I am a firm supporter of Obama but I say “NO” to the existing healthcare bill.

There are three major issues with The governments plan for healthcare.
1. It is put together by a bunch of power hungry people who think all citizens are idiots.
2. It does nothing to address the actual costs of healthcare except by allowing them to not spend the money.
3. It is run by the governement, not only have they driven medicare into the ground, and made a society that have a medicaid card think their PCP is the Emergency Dept. But who will regulate them? When they say they will not pay for a procedure whom do you complain to? Right now you can legally take a health care insurance company to court, or get pressure form the government by making friends with your congressman. Did you know you have to get the governments permission to bring a civil lawsuit against them?
How about caps on lawsuit claims, hell in most other countries that have the typ of healthcare the current political climate is trying to drive us towards they don’t even allow you to sue a doctor.
How about opening up regulation so that there are a variety of more plans out there for people to choos from from people that only want catastrophic health insurance so they don’t go bankrupt and services are paid for to those who want a plan that covers everything.
I am not too thrilled with the idea of mandating everyone have some health insurance, and certainly not a governement but instead of proposing this monster why not propose that the governement healthcare plan be a catastrophic plan would be a hell of a lot cheaper and more practical. BTW those who say you can’t pay for a checkup are full of BS I had a period of time when I had no insurance and I went to my PCP office I had to pay cash, for teh full checkup it was less than $200, if you can afford an iPod you can pay for medical stuff out of pocket. Guess what when I had no insurance and I got sick and went to the MD it cost me less than $100 for the visit. Medicine was a slightly different story, but it’s a different topic all together anyways, well I have to go. just some random thoughts for fodder on this subject.

I am a Canadian Doctor. The government run system in our province is very generous and because it is almost a total single payor system my overhead is less than 10% because of the single payor system and because I only pay $1000.00/ year in liabilty insurance. I am rewarded for spending more time with patients and I am never penalized for re-admissions to hospital. I have looked at your median income for Family Physicians and I and my colleagues make at least twice that amount.
All seniors in our Province get a great prescription plan and if a treatment is required for any one, the ability to pay is NEVER factored into the Physician’s decision. People in our Country live longer than do people in the U.S. and we have almost no bankruptcies attributed to health care costs. In the U.S. personal bankruptcy is often due to health care costs. In many of your States the infant mortality rate is the same as a third world country.
When I treat patients from the U.S. I write most of the billings off if they don’t pay me up front because the U.S. insurance companies flood us with paperwork and more paperwork and in the end they still don’t pay.
WHAT MR. LIDDY DOESN’T TELL YOU IS THAT WHEN YOU ARE SITTING ACROSS FROM A DOCTOR IN THE U.S., DO YOU REALLY NEED WHAT IS BEING OFFERED OR IS IT BECAUSE THE DOCTOR IS IN HUGE DEBT AND MAKES MONEY OFF EVERYTHING HE/SHE SUGGESTS. REMEMBER A CT SCAN OF THE ABDOMEN IS THE EQUIVALENT OF 500 CHEST XRAYS YET IN THE U.S. IT IS ALMOST PART OF A ROUTINE EXAM FOR ABDOMINAL PAIN. PROSTATE CANCER IS BEST TREATED WITH RADIATION PELLETS RATHER THAN PROSTATECTOMY YET IN THE U.S. PATIENTS THAT I HAVE SEEN ALL GET EXPENSIVE PROSTATECTOMIES WHICH OFTEN LEAVE THEM IMPOTENT AND INCONTINENT.
So please educate yourself on health care don’t listen to these Corporate shills. Even wealthy Mr. Liddy thinks he is getting great health care when it is more likely that when he goes for care the physicians just see dollar signs. I wonder how much radiation exposure he has suffered with no benefit and a real increase in the risk of leukemia. Remember your country is 27th( last time I checked) in public education in the world and the U.S. is ranked much lower than Canada on every measure of health care performance except in cost as a percent of GDP where you are well ahead of us and we are happy that it is you and not us. Your government should be trying to improve both your educational system and your health care system yet the Republicans like Mr. Liddy just care about themselves.
So stop thinking you have the best health care system in the world because you don’t. In Canada our system isn’t perfect but it is a heck of a site better than yours.

The quality of US healthcare is unmatched. Any and every procedure you perform on a daily basis can somehow be linked to US works. Before you speak on any forum involving US politics, please understand your place. Perhaps Canada’s healthcare is much more available and less costly due to the fact that you ignore your constantly weakening military and simply depend on the US for protection. I bet we would have a lot more money to spend if our NAVY consisted of 3 battleships.

There are issues with the health care bill, yes, and I would prefer changes in certain aspects of it, but WHY ARE YOU LYING about the content of what is in the bill?
THE LINK IS AVAILABLE AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE TO THE ACTUAL TEXT OF THE BILL. The only thing you people have to do is click it and CHECK the specific sections that have been pointed out.
Here is a secret: MANY OF THE THINGS LARRY SCHWEIKART CLAIMS THE HC BILL SAYS ARE SIMPLY NOT TRUE. You do not need to listen to me. You do not need to point at me and say ‘liar’ to defend your position. All you have to do is double-check this post and the actual text of the HC bill.
When you read, READ THE ENTIRE SECTION LARRY HAS INDICATED. He has taken many things completely out of context (Pg 29, 30, 42, 58, 102, etc…) and if you do not read the entire section it may seem like he is telling the truth. READ CAREFULLY. He has also inserted random claims that have no basis in the actual text of the HC bill, particularly when he says things like “You will have no choice!” or randomly throws out the term “ACORN” (Pg 65, 91, 145, etc…).
This is for your own benefit. You being well-informed (not INCORRECTLY INFORMED) is to the benefit of your country. This guy is trying to scare and dupe you. It’s okay to hate the bill, but don’t hate it for something it is absolutely not.

Actually, Lee, the link still works perfectly fine. You can click the link up top and see the bill right now. The headings are not taken from the bill. Some take parts of the heading, some add to the heading, some are a ’synopsis’ of what is under the headings. But the point is, you need to read the heading in context with the actual explanation of that heading to know what it actually means. I admire your passion but wish it weren’t pointed in such a skewed direction.
Go take a break for an hour, sit out back, weed your garden, whatever, then come back and read the sections listed above neutrally, without re-reading the description you have here of what they say. If you are still managing to mislead yourself from the plain english in the bill… well, good luck in life, I guess.

Anyone believing that government is the answer is wrong, government is self promoting not self sufficient. Democrats and liberals in congress and the senate are not showing this bill for real reasons because it destroys our economy and adds huge taxes. Dont believe it when in your life did any politician republican or liberal ever pass a bill that came in under budget!!!

They will not even address “tort” reform because lawyers played a vital role in obamas election. Government will ration because they must cut costs somewhere and they will determine the benefits you receive. I heard it said by many liberals that look at the VA (veterans administration)for guidance on how government healthcare is a success. I go to the VA all the time and here is a simple example of them: I had testing done last March for a TBI and now it is November and I still do not have any results!!!

Mr. Gliddon, you say that one should “Read the Bill then get back to me. Interpret what is being said…I have” however you need to realize that interpretation is comes down to the one interpreting it. Example, you are a Pastor, correct? If I asked you to interpret the Bible you would with your beliefs showing threw at different parts. However if I asked an antheist or an agnostic to interpret the Bible we would have a version completely different then yours. There is nothing wrong with that at all, it just proves that if you lean one way or another your beliefs will show in the undercurrent of what you have interpreted.
Oh, and I have a very close friend who lives in England & must tell you her healthcare & that of her friends has never been rationed.

Our forefathers never intended Bill to require interpretation by a clergyman and I am not reading the Bill as if I must make my own interpretation. Just read what it says and accept the fact that it is intended to accomplish the ‘Saul Alinsky’ promotion of Marxism in America.

I think that the health care bill is terrible. Tell me five reasons why we will benefit.
-TAX INCREASE TO PAY FOR THIS COLOSSALLY EXPENSIVE THING!
-tax the wealthy who WORK HARD for their money so we can redistribute it to the people like the illegal immigrants who arent even valid citizens so they can have the SAME health care as the people who work their butts off
-have a committee decide whether your mother will live or die of breast cancer…because maybe they want to just let her go so they can save the life of someone younger who “could really use the treatment.”
-Sure there isn’t rationing in places like Canada and England…but there is all of this!
-People at hospitals NOW aren’t denied if they have an arm falling off. HOW WILL HEALTH CARE CHANGE THAT IF PEOPLE ALREADY ARE ACCEPTED INTO THE ER? I had teacher once tell me that she had a friend who was a nurse and she declined someone into the hospital whose leg was half- off. No hospital would do that as it is WITHOUT HEALTH CARE!

My friend from Canada took her mother all the way to the US to be treated for cancer because the Canadian health care treatment would have taken 12 years. She was already a 90 year old woman! Please, please rethink this bill!

Boy, I am glad you posted the link to the Health Care Bill. After matching up the first 6 or so statements you made, with the Health Care bill, I am left wondering if we are reading the same words. Not sure how you came up with what you did, but they don’t match the bill.
For example: “and a National ID Healthcard will be issued!” It doesn’t say anything in the bill about a National Card being issued. Just a medical card, such as the one we get now with our health insurance, that we show to the receptionist at every doctor visit.

This bill is completely unconstitutional.
To the higher class paying unreasonably high taxes, YOU WILL BE PAYING FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO GET HEALTHCARE WHILE THEY ARE NOT PAYING ANY TAXES! What a waste of money! And the reason Obama is letting immigrants get free healthcare is because he knows they will support democrats after that. Its all a game for him to get as many supporters as possible. He’s tricking us, but republicans are not fooled.
Our country is heading towards socialism.
Oh and Obama, you increased our national debt in 1 and a half years more than George Bush did in 8 years. Even though thats unrelated to this, it just gives you an idea about how great our president really is.

Sean, If you think all this is propaganda then you really don’t think much at all. Not only is this Bill full of waste and UNCONSTITUTIONAL attempts to take onver America, consider the following: IRS will have to hire 1,600 new employees and purchase a new computer system to track all of us taxpayers as well as employers. If each is paid the federal wage paid to a CPA along with benefits and retirement the cost will be astronomical. Then the cost of the new appointees and overseers is added. The best estimate so far is a payroll, including bene’s of almost $1.8 billion!
Who pays this? Us…The taxpayers! BUDGET NEUTERAL, the BIGGEST LIE YET!

I am a conservative by nature, I believe in life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, With this Bill the way I understand it , I feel that all three of those concepts are threatened, this Bill seems to be wriiten for 32 million uninsured Americans but yet there are 309million Americans living today that is about 10.5%. I do not want to bend for 10.5% of anything, if that means that I have to sacrifice the other 89.5%.This bill is intrusive and ill -thought out. We are Americans not Brittians not Canadians, I am not saying that we can not learn from these countries and I am not saying that we can not benefit from some type of reform but lets keep what is good and lets get rid of the bad. In the end this is our livelihood, Not a game I am not interested in having Obama win one for the boys, Too much at stake.

We are a lost country with a President trying to fix decades of miss leading.. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The same for our health and educating our children.

This Bill has PROVEN flaws that will cost BILLIONS to repair. Fact, 10% of hospitals not already in the ‘red’ will be! Fact, premium costs for EACH FAMILY will be raised by THOUSANDDS. Fact, a $339 BILLION loss report was HIDDEN by DHA for 2 weeks PRIOR to the vote! There are MORE LOOSES than gains! Get facts then talk…til then, read and LEARN!

this reminds me of a joke i heard the other day. a democrat and a republican were walking down the street and they run across this homeless person. the republican gave the homeless guy a buisness card and tells him where he can go to get a job. then reaches in his pocket and pulls out a 20 dollar bill and hands it to the man. the democrat was so impressed after seeing this so later when the democrat and republican passed another homless man the democrat gave him directions to the welfare office then reached into the republicans pocket and pulled out 50 dollars and gave it to the man. this is so true. republicans will give you just enough to get you on your feet and they’ll help get you a job. democrats on the other hand will just take from the rich and give to the poor. they’ll give as many hand outs that they can.
