Obama’s Health Care Plan Can Be Defeated

The Democrats‘ most recent answer to the question of how they will pay for their trillion-dollar health-care reform was just announced by Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel. He wants to impose a surtax on incomes over $280,000, which would be a staggering blow to small businesses that create most jobs.Another option floated by the Democrats is to tax employer-sponsored health coverage. Obama-supporter and union boss James P. Hoffa calls this “a bitter, bitter pill for middle-class wage-earners,” and has vowed to fight it. The real purpose of Obama’s health care “reform” is to seize control of another major industry (health care) and move us rapidly into Socialism. The Democrats’ plan involves mandates to force individuals to buy insurance, employers to provide insurance, and private insurance to offer an expensive list of benefits. Instead of allowing insurance to compete by offering different benefit packages, the Democrats are considering insurance mandates to cover exotic benefits that individuals may not want to buy such as in-vitro fertilization, hair transplants, rehab services, hearing aids, sex-change operations, prescription drugs, abortions, mental health, and substance abuse programs. The Democrats intend to prohibit low-cost policies for catastrophic care. They want to bar you from buying cheaper insurance in other states. The Democrats intend to impose community rating on a federal level, which means all customers will be offered the same rates regardless of age, obesity, smoking or other lifestyle differences. This forces young people to subsidize older patients. The Democrats intend to launch a “public option” to compete with private insurance. Government subsidies for the public option would soon drive private insurance out of business and become the “single-payer” (government plan) that the liberals really want. Obama promised that if you like your current insurance, you can keep it, but that option will soon be gone under Obama reform. Your employer could cancel his company-paid insurance (because it’s cheaper to pay a fine instead), or your insurance (because it can’t compete with government subsidized insurance) could cancel your company. Obama’s choice of White House Health Czar, Nancy-Ann DeParle, shows the conflicts of interests that surround many of his appointments. In the past three years, she pocketed $5.8 million from her work for major medical companies ($2.3 million from serving on the boards of six firms to be affected by the health-care bill, and $3.5 million from director’s fees, stock sales and awards from health-care firms). Czar DeParle was paid $471,000 as a member of the board of directors of Cerner, a leading developer of electronic medical records systems. Cerner has already boasted that it is well-positioned to take advantage of Obama’s push to modernize medical records (for which $19 billion was allocated in the Stimulus law). Modernizing health-care records means putting all your health-care information on computers where it will be accessible to government bureaucrats to help them decide the comparative effectiveness of proposed tests and treatments in relation to your age and health (a.k.a. rationing). Private information can leak out and be used against you by employers, prospective employers, health and life insurance, ex-spouses, or political opponents. The elephant in the Obama health-care room may be abortion. Time Magazine is asking the explosive question: Will Obama’s national health care cover abortions? The majority of Americans do not want their tax dollars to pay for abortions. Because of the Supreme Court decision in Harris v. McRae upholding the Hyde Amendment, federally-paid health care (such as Medicaid) does not now cover abortions. Hillary Clinton, the National Abortion Federation, Planned Parenthood, and NARAL are already bragging that nationalized health care will include abortion. Feminists believe that abortion should be covered just like an appendectomy. Unless it is excluded, abortions will be covered by national health care, thus making the taxpayers pay for hundreds of thousands of abortions every year. That’s why 19 pro-life Democrats, organized by Rep. David Boren (D-OK), sent a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi warning that they “cannot support any health-care-reform proposal unless it explicitly excludes abortion from the scope of any government-defined or subsidized health-insurance plan.” The Obama plan will permanently put unaccountable bureaucrats (who have never treated a patient) in charge of decisions about if and when you can get the procedures and treatments you and your doctor believe are necessary. Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) believes this is “a make-or-break moment for Americans” and a battle we can and must win. As a physician, he reminds us that we can’t effectively treat a problem unless we get the diagnosis right, and the Democrats have misdiagnosed the problem as too little rather than too much government intervention. |

It is a shame that some Americans are so gullible, to the outlandish propaganda and lies spat in the newspapers, television and radio about Obama’s health care agenda. They have demonized the British, Canadian and other worthy plans. Hidden under a disguise cover, these radical entities are determined to keep the special interest organizations in absolute power. Comprising of the money-draining profitable insurance companies and their rich stockholders. They don’t want any changes to the broken system of medical care, because it will hurt the status quo. I was born in England, in the county of Sussex and until the inception of the European Union and the European Parliament dictating to Britain. That they must accept millions of foreign workers, the nations medical system was exemplary. I never had to wonder if I would have to file bankruptcy, to pay my medical bills, or listen to the incessant ring of debt collectors on the phone.
On several occasions I ended up in the cottage hospital and their was never a cost applied to it, never a ream of paperwork. Incidentally, I choose my own doctor where I Lived. The longest I waited for surgery was three months, as it was not an emergency. No doctor, no hospital or specialist asking me for my Social Security number, drivers license or if I was covered by a predatory for-profit insurer. No premiums, no-cops and pre-existing condition clauses. Yes! Didn’t have a private room, but who cares? Today the British Isles is being submerged under a barrage of legal and illegal immigrants, who have never paid into the system, have caused some rationing. Prior to the importation of foreign labor my trips to doctor, to hospital, the eye or a dentist was paid from my taxation. Unless we pass a national health care agenda, Americans will never know what it’s like to breeze through their lives, without worrying about paying for health care? Tell your Senators and Congressman you want an alternative to the–GET RICH– insurance companies, before a Universal health care is killed. 202-224-312 REMEMBER THE INVESTORS AND STOCKHOLDERS DON’T WANT THEIR PIECE OF THE $$$TRILLION$$$ DOLLAR PIE DISTURBED. EVEN SOME POLITICIANS HAVE THEIR DIRTY FINGERS IN THE PIE?
AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE PRIVATE HEALTH CARE, A GOVERNMENT SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM WILL ASSIST IN REVITALIZING THE WILTING US ECONOMY.

Brittabcus: As one that worked in a major hospital chain I am surprised at toe gullibility displayed by your comment. First, no one, and I repeat no one, is denied admittance from a hospital is the U.S.A.. The laws provide no recourse for hospitals that provide thousands of dollars in care and get no compensation whatever.
Canadians and Brisish citizens flock to the U.S.A. to recieve care that is vitally necessary to render life-saving services.
Ask yourself, and wonder why. Will our Congress men and women drop their elite coverages and replace it with the Plan Obama is offering? Will every governmental employee do likewise? Will Obama replace his current coverages for himself and his family with the Plan he offers? I think not!
The insurance companies raise their premiums, raise deductibles, raise co-pays yet do not raise the per-diem rates paid to hospitals or the fees paid to doctors yet pat outrageous dividends to their investors and even more outrageous bonuses to their executive employees! Why! Because Congress will not rein them in for fear that their campaign warchests will be diminished! Both political Parties are to blame.
Simply STOP all insurance companies from getting on NYSE, NASDAQ or any similar stock market. Establish fair premium rates, per-diems, fees and require that all persons earning $75K per annum purchase coverages. Establish fair rates for employers to be paid and then do not allow insurance companies to be the vistims of outrageous awards for malpractice litigations. Stop insurance companies from paying our MEDICARE Rates for services provided.
BUT, do not allow a SOCIALIZED Plan such as is currently being oiffered!

It’s official. America and the World are now in a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. A World EPIDEMIC with potential catastrophic consequences for ALL of the American people. The first PANDEMIC in 41 years. And WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES will have to face this PANDEMIC with the 37th worst quality of healthcare in the developed World.
STAND READY AMERICA TO SEIZE CONTROL OF YOUR NATIONAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.
We spend over twice as much of our GDP on healthcare as any other country in the World. And Individual American spend about ten times as much out of pocket on healthcare as any other people in the World. All because of GREED! And the PRIVATE FOR PROFIT healthcare system in America.
And while all this is going on, some members of congress seem mostly concern about how to protect the corporate PROFITS! of our GREED DRIVEN, PRIVATE FOR PROFIT NATIONAL DISGRACE. A PRIVATE FOR PROFIT DISGRACE that is in fact, totally valueless to the public health. And a detriment to national security, public safety, and the public health.
Progressive democrats the Tri-Caucus and others should stand firm in their demand for a robust government-run public option for all Americans, with all of the minimum requirements progressive democrats demanded. If congress can not pass a robust public option with at least 51 votes and all robust minimum requirements, congress should immediately move to scrap healthcare reform and request that President Obama declare a state of NATIONAL HEALTHCARE EMERGENCY! Seizing and replacing all PRIVATE FOR PROFIT health insurance plans with the immediate implementation of National Healthcare for all Americans under the provisions of HR676 (A Single-payer National Healthcare Plan For All).
Coverage can begin immediately through our current medicare system. With immediate expansion through recruitment of displaced workers from the canceled private sector insurance industry. Funding can also begin immediately by substitution of payroll deductions for private insurance plans with payroll deductions for the national healthcare plan. This is what the vast majority of the American people want. And this is what all objective experts unanimously agree would be the best, and most cost effective for the American people and our economy.
In Mexico on average people who received medical care for A-H1N1 (Swine Flu) with in 3 days survived. People who did not receive medical care until 7 days or more died. This has been the same results in the US. But 50 million Americans don’t even have any healthcare coverage. And at least 200 million of you with insurance could not get in to see your private insurance plans doctors in 2 or 3 days, even if your life depended on it. WHICH IT DOES!
If President Obama has to declare a NATIONAL STATE OF EMERGENCY to rescue the American people from our healthcare crisis, he will need all the sustained support you can give him. STICK WITH HIM! He’s doing a brilliant job.

Holy cow. Jacksmith’s comment almost sounds halfway logical until you read the parts where it says, “Progressive democrats the Tri-Caucus and others should stand firm in their demand for a robust government-run public option for all Americans,”
and, “If President Obama has to declare a NATIONAL STATE OF EMERGENCY to rescue the American people from our healthcare crisis, he will need all the sustained support you can give him. STICK WITH HIM! He’s doing a brilliant job.”
Don’t give up your guns, and do not vote for a government-run = government-OWNED healthcare program. Socialism is one step closer to communism, and the “common good” is a big, fuggin lie.

I do believe that there must be reform and it must start with the insurance companies, but I am terrified of this radical Socialist that is our leader. I am 57 and wonder if I will live long enough to see my grandchildren grow up under his frightening Health Care plan. I will sign anything and join all organizations to stop his railroading of America. Jacksmith, please read the DETAILS of the Obama Health Care Plan. I just did from an e-mail sent from my Congressman. God help us. We are going to be a nation we don’t even recognize if this dictatorish man is not stopped by more moral and scholarly minds.

As Ronald Reagan proudly exclaimed; “Government is not the solution, Government is the problem”! This Obamanation Health Care Bill will never work here. Since 1965 when LBJ signed Medicare, the health care industry has gotten worse incrementally each year. There is no scrutiny of billings by the recipients since it doesn’t come out of their checkbook! And many believe that the Government has huge deep pockets and can pay for everything. Not true, the GOVERNMENT HAS NO MONEY OF ITS OWN, only what it collects (bludgeons) in taxes, fees, and fines. Most of this is grossly wasted with no concern for thrift. They print “funny money” (worthless paper dollars), raise taxes because they never have enough to satisfy their insatiable lust for spending. They will probably hire 100,000 idiots to administer the program while claiming how well they “have created jobs”! I think it is time to find another country to live in.

This bill is so earmarked with minority spoils and other dangerous extermist special interest marks it is not even funny. What is funny it the amount of money going to Margaret Sanger’s Planned Parrenthood. She was a well known racist and proponet of Racist Eugenics Policies. She was a proponet of the types of policies that Hitler and the German NAZI employed in their attempt to exterminate Jews, Gypies, mentally retarded, etc. Here is but one of Racist Sanger’s statements:

Would this horrible man still speak the same line. A friend of mine who works in mentoring special needs adults told me of one of his coworkers who was a Green Party activist. He told of his coworker Green Party activsitist avocation for rationed medicine and that he himself would be on a local committee that would ration the medical care. This is the same localized nuts and bolts collectivist model I believe that was used in the Soviet Union. We now are faced with the Age of Triage, and THEY SHALL DECIDE WHO SHALL LIVE AND WHO SHALL DIE (see Rabbi/Prof. Richard Rubinstein’s 1984 book by the same tittle). I wonder how many of you whose comments I have read on this website have actually taken the time to read this healthcare bill or any other bill that Obama has pushed through. I bet not many. Take a look at any government run healthcare system in the world. Can you name one that has succeeded? No you can’t because there is none. Government run anything has always been the downfall of whatever it has run. CONTROL is the name of the game with Obama. If you think this man is out to help you, then you are a an “educated” idiot. He could not care less about our children’s future, our Constitution or the welfare of America. His insatiable ego and his lust for power is all that drives him. His plan is to consume and control and you’d better wake up because he’s already succeeded in his efforts thus far. There is a Socialistic (Communistic) take-over in the works and the only way we can change it is in the voting booth. Wake up people. If you didn’t vote this past election you put this man in office.

I have been reading HR3200 Section by Section! I find the “MOST NOT ALL” of the claims by the opponents of the bill have exaggerated or outright lied about the facts in the bill. Some of the bill is also written with very slippery vague language, so who knows what they really want to do. However, it is still a very bad bill and I don’t want the Government to have access to my medical records. I also do not want to create another giant agency agencies to oversee my life. TELL GOVERNMENT TO GET THE HELL OUT OF MY LIVE!
What I am scared of are people like the Emanuel Brothers. The Intrepid Rham Emanuel is Obama’s Chief of Staff and Chief Arm Twister. (Al Capone would highly value such a man from Chicago in his day!). Rham’s other brother is Ari Emanuel. Ari just happens to be Michael “Sicko” Moore’s Hollywood Agent. Rham’s other brother is Ezekiel Emanuel M.D. PhD. Dr. Emanuel is a leading an Oncologist and Bioethicist (CAN YOU SAY EUGENICS!) and proponent of Euthanasia. Dr. Emanuel is also on President Obama’s Medical Advisory Board. Last we have Dr. John Holdren, the President’s National Science Advisor. Dr. Holdren is a leading expert on global population control (CAN YOU SAY EUGENICS, AGAIN!) and well known Euthanasia proponent. Folks, if I were writing a novel I still could not make this stuff up!

I posted reponses to on several other sites concerning the President Obama’s staff, Health Care Reform and the Communitarian-Fabian Society connection over the past several days. The comments were in turn were posted for all to see on the internet. I checked back on each of them to see if any other parties commmented on them. My posts are now gone! I am wondering is someone has already initiated a form of censorship on the internet? I fear we may already be living in Orwell’s 1984!
