Tea Party Patriots Town Hall Forum on Opposing Government Run Health Care

On Thursday, July 9, at 7:00 pm EDT Tea Party Patriots is hosting a live Town Hall meeting in Orlando, Florida.  You can join us live in person, on Ustream.tv, and on Blog Talk Radio.  The Town Hall meeting will inform Americans about the negative effects of government run health care.

Panelists will include Neurological Surgeon David McKalip, M.D., Kidney Specialist Tim Youell, M.D., Rick Scott with Conservatives for Patients Rights, patient activist Cindy Youell, and concerned healthcare professionals and patients.

About Tea Party Patriots:
Tea Party Patriots are the same people that brought you Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th. Three of the national coordinators were on the very first conference call, February 20th, where the first round of tea parties were planned following Rick Santelli’s rant. There were only 22 people on that call. The following Friday, February 27th, we had approximately 50 tea parties across the country, with an estimated 30,000 people in attendance! On April 15th, we had 850+ tea parties in all 50 states, with 1.2 million people in attendance.

What Can You D
Tea Party Patriots is mobilizing the grassroots army! Our focus this summer is Project AIM (Attract, Inform, Mobilize) in order to educate the grassroots army and oppose government run health care. We are having weekly town halls cross the country in addition to tea parties.  We are using the tea party platform to start the discussion about government run health care with many people that are not aware of how dangerous this legislation is for our country.  On July 17th, we will have a national day of tea parties at every single congressional and senatorial office throughout the country.  These events will happen simultaneously at 12:00 noon EDT / 9:00 am PDT. The purpose of these protests are to show our opposition to government run health care.

Tea Party Patriots Health Care Freedom Tea Parties
Join your fellow Tea Party Patriots on July 17th at the local home office of each Congressman and Senator to make it absolutely clear we oppose government run health care.  These will occur simultaneously across the country from Noon to 1:00 PM Eastern / 9:00 to 10:00 AM Pacific. From Florida to Washington, from Maine to California, from Alaska to Hawaii and everywhere in between you and thousands of other Tea Party Patriots will assemble together outside the offices of those who are elected to represent us, and make our voices heard once again. 

We need you and anyone else you can bring in order to achieve our goal of having massive numbers to make our point outside every single district office in the country. Take 1 hour off of work on July 17th to show up and speak out.

Why Is Tea Party Patriots Focusing on Government Run Health Care?

  The 3 Core Values of Tea Party Patriots Are:
 
Fiscal Responsibility 

Limited Government
Free Markets

Socialized Health Care blatantly violates every single one of these core values.  Here are some examples: 

Fiscal Responsibility v. Spending, Spending, Spending
The current administration has spent trillions of dollars so far and we are setting new records for debt every day. Spending in 2009 has increased in excess of 25%, which is the largest non-war government expansion since the New Deal.  Government Run Healthcare is a multi-trillion dollar program, which will crush an already embattled private sector economy, while government continues to grow.

Limited Govt. v. Govt. Bureaucrat Decision Makers
Bureaucrats and politicians, not families, will control health care choices and decisions.   The horror stories of long waits and denied treatment in countries with government health care systems cannot be denied.  Government health care doesn’t work.

Free Markets v. Public Option
When the government begins offering programs that the private sector already offers, the government becomes competition for the private sector and stifles its ability to grow.  Even the White House says the President’s rhetoric shouldn’t be taken “literally” when he promises you won’t lose your current plan.  They understand private insurers will be incentivized out of markets which will no longer be “free.”
