It Is What It Is

It is what it is.

Congratulations to Obama and his supporters and the Democratic Party.

I hope Obama does a good job for the sake of the country.

We should pray that God will give strength and wisdom to all the elected officials so that they will serve us well.

Of course, we will see if Obama will keep or break his promises.  Most likely soon, we will hear the media play the expectations game and tell the world that Obama cannot accomplish that much.

Of course, we will see if Obama and Democrats offer centrist solutions like they campaign on and not promote some hidden extreme agenda.

To the Democrats, I offer this advice.  Beware of power for it corrupts even those with the best intentions.

To the Republicans, do not despair.  This is probably the high-water mark for the Democrats.  It should be all downhill for them from this point on.  Obama has promised a ton of tax breaks and a ton of new spending.  I am sure that many Democratic groupies will be at his door demanding large increases in spending on this and that.   It is likely those promises and spending pressures will generate trillion dollar annual deficits.  I do not think the American people will be happy with that in 2 and 4 years from now.
