Obama wants women to be drafted and then to serve on the fronts lines of a war.
Woman in combat units will be problematic. Unplanned pregnancy among female soldiers is higher than what is in the civilian area. High occurrence of rape of capture of females in a war is a proven fact.

praise obama for this idea!!!
on the one hand he wants to cut spending and on the other hand, he knows (as he learned from mccain), that we need strong armed forces. he also learned, that women could be very tough and hard and can fight (he learned that from palin). So he had THE idea. As he is accustomed to pay less to women than to men (so he does in his campaign) he had the idea to replace the guys in the army by women – so he can save app. 15%. Less spending – same strength.
Obama is a genius.
I’m sure, he has more of such great ideas ….

Now come on, that’s just not true!
Obama’s response to the question “Senator Obama, should women register for Selective Service?”, asked in the Democratic primary debate in July, 2007:
“…And I think that if women are registered for service — not necessarily in combat roles, and I don’t agree with the draft — I think it will help to send a message to my two daughters that they’ve got obligations to this great country as well as boys do.”
Registering for service is not at whatsoever the same thing as a draft!
To further clarify, Obama spoke of a need for involvement in national service, which includes not only military, but non-military service: The Peace Corp, the Foreign Service and the USA Freedom Corp., etc. At no time, in all the reviews of his speeches and debate responses that I have just researched, has he ever called for a military draft, nor for the mandatory draft of women into combat.
