If a state is just an eyesight view from another country I think it is proper to say ‘abuts.’
As far as the rest of your apparent complaints are concerned you are either misguidec or grasping for straws.
The ‘bridge to nowhere’ was initially OK with Palin until she realized that Alaska would have to match Federal Funds…not for your cited ‘reason.’
Face facts…Obama has done absolutely nothing! Nada, Zip, Blank…NOTHING!
Nuff said!

I have no complaints about your posting of Mrs Palin’s trip to Kuwait to visit with the Alaskan National Guard Members – kudos to her. What I have a problem with is her saying she visited troops in Iraq, and then visited Ireland (a fueling stopover). I also have a problem with you stating Alaska borders Russia. The last I checked there was a body of water between Alaska and Russia — no land border. As far as bordering Canada — that’s a friendly nation!! Also, Mrs. Palin opposed the bridge to nowhere only after it became a national joke. First, she agreed to it, then she opposed it. Governor for 2 years. Isn’t she still in her second year? All Governors oversea their State’s national guardsmen — hardly referred to a “Commander-in-Chief” – quite a stretch!!
