Richard Nixon famously said: When you are seeking the nomination for president of the Republican Party, you run to the far right; once you’ve secured the nomination, you run to right of center during the election campaign; once you’ve won the presidency, you govern from the center.
Barack Obama has embraced The Nixon Strategy lock, stock and barrel, adapting its mirror-opposite to the Left. He suckered the hard-working base of the party — the Left-wing — into voting for him during the primaries by appealing to the issues dearest to their hearts. These are the very people responsible for getting him to where he is today! Yet once Obama felt he secured the nomination, he has tripped over himself running to the center (some would argue the center-right). Oh, Barack, we thought we knew ye!
How wrong we were.
But Obama made a mistake; he started his move rightwards before securing the nomination. And what he didn’t realize was that…
What the Left giveth, the Left can taketh away!

Looks like he didn’t make much of a ‘mistake’ since the left didn’t take the nomination away.

Let’s say that Obama gets elected. Do you really think he will fulfill his current stances and support the Second Amendment? Do you think he will allow our military to remain in Iraq as long as is needed to stop terrorism? Do you think he will appoint Judges to the Supreme Court that will support the US Constitution? Do you think he will not raise Social Security taxes? Do you think he will refuse to accept money from Unions and refuse to bend to their demands?
He has yet to win the nomination as the Dems have not held their Convention yet. Be that as it may, he will gwet it but his intentions for America are not what I want and probably not what you want either. Possibly you want change…Well, so do I BUT not back to the years of Jimmy Carter which were the start of unbridled inflation, terrorism, the downfall of Amwerica in the mid-East and the rising cosats of everything.
I lived through one boob in the White House and am not interested in seeing another gain a toehold. Heck, I saw the prices of a new Datsun B210 go from $1,345.00 to $12, 086.00 in less than a year! Not again…no way…neither should you.
