A Christian SPEAKS OUT on Obama

Submitted by: Evelyn Hodge

Bill Brown, is a highly respected retired member of the Billy Graham team So, I take his assessment of Obama very seriously and for that reason accept his challenge to pass this on. I share his concern about the ‘rock star’ image Obama has and watch with growing concern at the celebrity status the media has foisted upon him.

     The Obama Tidal Wave

We are witnessing a political phenomenon with Barack Obama of rare magnitude.

His speeches have inspired millions and yet most of his followers have no idea of what he stands for except platitudes of ‘Change’ or that he says he will be a ‘Uniter’.

The power of speech from a charismatic person truly can be a powerful thing. Certainly Billy Graham had charisma and both his manner of speech and particularly the content changed millions.

On the extreme other hand, the charisma of Adolph Hitler inspired millions and the results were catastrophic.

Barack Obama certainly is no Hitler or a Billy Grah am, but for many Americans out there feeling just like a surfer who might be ecstatic and euphoric while riding a tidal wave, the real story is what happens when it hits shore
.

Just Some of What Defines Barack Obama:

           · He voted against banning partial birth abortion.
           · He voted no on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions.
           · Supports affirmative action in Colleges and Government.
           · In 2001 he questioned harsh penalties for drug dealing.
           · Says he will deal with street level drug dealing as minimum wage affair.

    · Admitted marijuana and cocaine use in high school and in college.
           · His religious convictions are very murky.
           · He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
           · Has said that one of his first goals after being elected would be to have a conference with all Muslim nations.
           · Opposed the Patriot Act.
           · First bill he signed that was passed was campaign finance reform.

  · Voted No on prohibiting law suits against gun manufacturers.
           · Supports universal health-care.
           · Voted yes on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees.
           · Supports granting driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants.
           · Supports extending welfare to illegal immigrants.
           · Voted yes on comprehensive immigration reform.
           · Voted yes on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security.
           · Wants to make the minimum wage a ‘living wage’.
           · Voted with Democratic Party 96 percent of 251 votes.
           · Is a big believer in the separation of church and state.
           · Opposed to any efforts to Privatize Social Security and instead supports
increasing the amount of tax paid.
           · He voted No on repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax.
           · He voted No on repealing the ‘Death’ Tax.
           · He wants to raise the Capital Gains Tax.

      · Has repeatedly said the surge in Iraq has not succeeded….
           · He is ranked as the most liberal Senator in the Senate today and that takes some doing.

If your political choices are consistent with Barack Obama’s and you think that his positions will bring America together or make it a better place, then you will probably enjoy the ride. If you are like most Americans that after examining what he stands for, are truly not in line with his record, it would be prudent to get off the wave or better yet, never get on, before it comes on shore and undermines the very foundations of this great Country. We have limited time to save America or the Supreme Court as we know it.

 Inaction is action.

If you agree this is important, pass it on. The mainstream media will not do it for you!

    Just a few questions:

    • Admitted marijuana and cocaine use in high school and in college. (compared to Bush not being able to remember whether or not he used cocaine. If you’ve used a hard drug, you’re not likely to forget… unless you also had a bit of a drinking problem.)

    • His religious convictions are very murky. (How so? How long has he been a member of the church he attends? People keep trying to emphasize that he may or may not have been a Muslim while simultaneously criticizing him for the actions of his Christian minister…)

    • He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. (If they’re state sponsors of terror, what are we considered using the CIA in various shady and despicable acts from the Middle East in the 1950’s to South America and Central America through out the remainder of the century?)

    • Has said that one of his first goals after being elected would be to have a conference with all Muslim nations. (What’s wrong with that? Isn’t is obviously a pretty messed up situation over there considering our intensive military presence and history of intervention? Does the mere fact that he’d like to meet with them play on the fear instinct that has been imbedded by the media regarding anything anything Muslim?)

    • Voted yes on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees. (Does unalienable rights granted to all mankind have some exclusions? Is this similar to the denial of rights to African Americans and women?)

    • Is a big believer in the separation of church and state. (So? That’s how it was
intended? Everyone should be a supporter of this whether or not your religious.)

    • Has repeatedly said the surge in Iraq has not succeeded. (Considering the number of Iraqis forced to flee there homes every day, the number of civilians already killed, and no overall end-game strategy (something Bush criticized Clinton for in Kosovo), how has it succeeded?)

It is late in the game to attempt to charge President Bush with anything. America voted him in twice, like it or not.

Obama’s religious conviction is reflective of smeone with no idea as to what true Christianity is all about. Although he claims to be a Christian nothing he says is Christian Theology. His teacher teaches a Blak Jesus and goes downhill from there.

Meeting with Castro, Chavez, Jong IL and Akmajinidad is only a means of appeasing and giving status to terrorists they do not rate.

You reference CIA actions of the 50s. I was there in the 50s. What history books do you reference? Otherwise, that was almost 60 years ago. Update yourself, we live in the 21st Century!

We have conferred with Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, The Emirates ans many more Muslim nations. What would you hope to do at such meeting/conference? We met with Syria and even with Representatives of Iran, neither is truthful and to meet with liars is conterrproductive.

The surge is and continues to be a GREAST Success. 13 of 15 matters have been handled by Iraq. The othwer 2 are disarming of the militias and Maliki was sucessful in kicking Sadr’s butt! That leaves only oil profits and even the Iraq provinces admit to having recieved their fair shares. When Obama says “No progress, he is really showing his lack of knowledge as well as ignorance abouit foreign affairs!

    Next!

I left out my last reply. OOPS.

If you read the Constitution of The United States of America you learn that it leads off with, “We The People,” and not “Any Person.” In making the ruling that the Left Wing of the Court did they ignored 200 years of PRECEDENT LAW.

If you watch hearings about Judicial appointments the most often asked questions relate to Roe vs Wade and directly to, “Do you accept that as settled law.” Well, what about Habaes Corpus? .
