Democrats seek to derail STIMULOUS PACKAGE!

Stimulus Plan Advances

Published: January 30, 2008

The Senate Finance Committee is set to produce an economic stimulus bill that, on balance, improves on the bill passed by the House on Tuesday. Among other things, the Senate version would extend unemployment benefits as needed for laid-off workers.

Extensions are one of the best ways to give an economic shot in the arm. And yet, in his speech on Monday, President Bush warned that changes to the House bill could derail the stimulus effort. Welcome to Washington, where even in the face of impending recession, the needs of ordinary Americans can take a back seat to ideology.

Lee ADDS: Sure, Ideology of the Liberals is the ‘death knell’ of a Bill designed to help PRODUCERS, not the flakes! Leave it to a Democrat to add food stamps, unemployment money extensions, rebate to Illegal Aliens, and … say…a FEW BILLION for something else…errr…say the DNC!

the rebate should go to everyone including those on welfare, ssi, ssd, social security, homless EXCEPT, illigal immigrants and those who ,make more than $80,000 yr. as for those on visa and greencards, since I do not know a great day in detail about visa’s and greencards, I can’t offer an opinion. anyone who clears over $80,000 doesn’t need it and IF they do then they have issues in finance. if a person can’t live on over $80,000 they have real problems and need professional phsyciatric help. the people on federal and public assistance and the homless need it for “non” essential things like food and clothes perhaps a roof over their head. there will be some who, yes will do drugs, booz it up whatever, but people need only worry about themselves and stop worrying about taking responsibility over other folks bad decisions. Most severely poor people will use it for as I stated “non” essential things like food, clothes. also for those complaining that welfare is non-taxed, we in oregon and washington I know for a fact they pay taxes through the “workfirst” program, but even if they didn’t opay taxes, is it really sooo bad to give them a little break and give them a small windfall, everyone deserves to have a nice day occasionally:)

The rebates must not go to those who would spend the money on either booze or drugs. If there were a way to determine just who qwould spend it frugally and not waste it on bad habits!
