The United States of America is facing a political crises and if we look at truth we can see a big part of the reason for such.

Look at Harry Reid, (D-NV) and you will see a man that rudely slanders anyone that does not share his views. Our President is labeled a”liar, inept, and stupid,” by Reid for believing (as did Ex-President Clinton) that Iraq had Wm’s. Reid’s fellow Senators, were labeled, “Puppets,” for doing exactly the same things as the Democrats did as Reid boasted about the unity that existed amongst his Party.

There was an attempt to pass Legislation that would have all but stopped Illegal Immigration. Reid oversaw Amendment after Amendment that caused this vital Legislation to virtually ‘go down in flames.’ In the Legislation for health care for children Reid acted again. Rather than allow a Bill for the needy children go to a vote, he allowed Amendment after Amendment to be added until it included children of people making as much as $80,000.00 per annum.

It is realized that there are no perfect Republicans and that when they were in the majority they were not perfect. One thing, however, they enjoyed a greater approval level than the current approval enjoyed by the Congress of today!

When Trent Lott, (D-MS) was Majority Leader, he was cast aside for speaking about a past Presidential Candidate. When Reid was charged with accepting money from Abramoff, earning money from highly questionable real estate deals, and accepting free tickets to a sporting event he was investigating, his attitude was, “Who, me…I did nothing wrong;” Senator Lott was not being investigated by the US Department of Justice…Reid is!

 Lets face it. Until there is a major change in the Senate, for starters, nothing will happen to get the nation’s business back on track. Reid blocked any debates on the Social Security plan. He dropped the ball on Illegal Immigration. He spoke in a derisive manner about our military. He admits that he cannot work with our President. He is a name caller and has embarrassed our state. How long will we allow this to be the way our Senate works?
