Last act of 2007 Washington Legislators

During the last week of the 2007 session, Legislators epitomized what they are all about. They clearly demonstrated for whom they work, which is not the American citizens. They work for illegals, global corporations, special interest (ACLU, anti-war groups, LaRaza) etc.Instead of dealing with all the things that are weakening our country the legislators have allowed these things to escalate: entitlement programs, Social Security drain, illegal immigration, open the borders, bad effects of visa expansion, unmanageable government departments, jobs outsourcing, lose of American manufacturing, dumbing down of our schools, lawlessness, globalism, the Security Prosperity Partnership, Council of Foreign Relations, the NAFTA Super highway, stoppage of the utilizing of our own resources such as shale oil, pork projects (many of which are air dropped in final bills as they were in the Omnibus spending bill). This list doesn’t even cover everything they have NOT accomplished. On Monday 12/17/07, Congress rushed a vote on this 3400 page bill. In less than 24 hours of its  printing they voted on it and sent it to the Senate.

Tuesday & Wednesday they had a great deal of time, at taxpayer’s expense, to eulogize both living and dead persons, praise themselves for all the work they did, make multiple 1 minute speeches on whatever. However, they couldn’t make time to better debate this huge Omnibus spending bill so that all the defects could be brought out before the vote. Why?

Fourteen Republican Senators and All but 1 Republican Congressmen, including Porter, Heller & Berkley, voted for this bill … H R 2764. The saddest part of all of this is that we let them operate in this manner.
