In the dictionary definition, democracy “is government by the people in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.” In the phrase of Abraham Lincoln, democracy is a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.”
The US Constitution starts with the words, ‘We the people…” With that being so, why is it that such acts as, prayer in school, God in our governmental offices, prayer before school activities (games, graduations, assemblies) and in our Pledge of Allegiance (one nation under God) can be questioned?
With “We the people,” are those that support the government with our tax dollars, why ias it that “We the people” are not allowed to enjoy the fruits of our OWN MONEY and spend it as we want?
In my readings of the many writings of the United States of America I have yet to read a single writing that has the power to allow anyone, Judge or Politician, the right or any right superior to that allowed every man. How is it that our Supreme Court gained the right to deem that prayer in schools, moments of silence, etc, are not allowed?
Additionally, how did anyone, muchless a Judge, get the right to allow pornography based on the thought (a supposition I’d guess) that it is ‘artistically redeeming?’ Where is the art form? The beauty of a naked person? The beauty of a persons sex organs? The filming of sex acts? The beauty of the background? The pose affected by the subjects being filmed? Could it be that there is such a financial contribution to a politician by the pornographic industries so as to exceed the rights of “We the people?” The same is applicable to pedophelia. Whether an cartoon or in reality, the is no ‘artistic experssion.’
Prayer disallowed and pornographic materials allowed! Freedom of speech allowed to those shouting curses and objectionable language yet no prayer in public venues such as schools. Oh, seperation of Church and State, My bad! But…I think such a statement as “We the people,’ just might override such objections! After all, “We the people,” consent to allow our money to be spent on things such as military, infrastructure, politicians salaries, public servants salaries, and such. If we consent, as a group, to prayer in school, prayer in school activities, displays of the Ten Commandments, and similar things, as “We the People,” isn’t that allowable?
I am one of those that make up, “We the people, and I have yet to consent to allowing the banning of God in anything. Not a single place. Additionally, I do not consent to anyone being allowed to vote in any election that cannot identify himself (or herself) as a legal voter. Either he or she is legally one of ”We the people.” or they are not! There is a erequirement that a birth certificate be filed for EVERY CITIZEN born in this country! So, show that if you must.
It is attested to that all these actions taken by our Judges are to ‘protect the minority.’ HUH! As one of “We the people,” that happens to be Christian, I cannot imagine the rights of those that do not belive in a Creator as superior to mine! How can it be an imposition to show identification when it is legally required that one identify him or herself in a criminal situation?
It is high time that “We the people,” began the true exercise of our rights as citizens of the United States of America. If law suits are what they ’the minority’ want, then file them. Each of us has suffered real damages as it is a fact that sums of money have been spent in the removal of ‘religious artifacts’ from governmental buildings using the money of “We the people!” It is the money of “We the people” that has paid for the Court Rooms, Judges, and ancillary personel to hear such cases. It is the money of “We the people” that has paid the salaries of Judges to spend time as they arrived at ‘artistic impression’ for SMUT! Damages…sure…and proveable!
