Senator Harry ‘Hands Up’ Reid, Majority Leadser of the US Senate gives proof of the claims of a ‘Do Nothing Senate’ is in place.
Although President Bush has nominated men of honor and who are more than capable to handle the positions they are nominated for, Harry ‘Hands Up’ Reid denies their being brought up for vote. Ol Hands Up is so hellbent on doing nothing that he has called for a ‘Pro Forma’ Senate to block their being appointed..
For anyone that does not know the workings of a ‘Pro Forma Senate,’ that is when the Senate does not recess during particular days of do nothing but continues to do nothing during what everyone sees as Holidays, they are known as ‘Pro Forma.’. At prescribed times a Senator (of Hands Up’s Party) gavels the Senate to Order and moments later, gavels a close of business! None of the nationa business gets done. (What’s new about that?)
Why? To make sure that President Bush cannot make what is known as ‘Recess Appointments’ to fill positions so that the nations business can continue.
It would appear that in blocking Recess Appointments and refusing to allow vote on such appointements during normal Senate sessions Hands Up is trying to ensure that other government offices be just as inept and unable to do the nations business as the US Senate is! For a Party that ran on the big lie, “We will get things done,” Hands Up is showing us all just how foolish and inane he is and do nothing!
Now Hillary and the Democrat Candidates running for the office of President of the US are screaming, “Time for a change.” I ask, ‘a change of what?’ Is their demand that “A time for change,” has no meaning whatsoever; unless they get rid of Hands Up and Nancy?
Nancy Pelosi and Hands Up both promised to conduct the nations business then promptly placed multiple Bills up for vote that did nothing but create a political divide between Republicans and Democrats. Is that what they were elected to do? Since the President would not do as Hands Up Reid wanted, and surrender in Iraq apparently his intent is to make certain noone else can do anything either!
OOPS…I have an idea! A good un! Vote Hands Up out of office and insist that no puppet of MoveOn.com or Teddy Boy Kennedy get named as Senate Majority Leader. This we have already seen! Heck…we are seeing that now!
