If you take the time to see the movie, Charlie Wilson’s War, you will understand the title of this BLOG.

We all are aware that President Ronald Reagan was the cause for the USSR ending the Cold War. If you see the aforementioned movie you’d get the impression that a Democrat Congressman was the person that engineered that feat. If we accept that concept then we must also accept the fact that the Congress of the United States of America, with the Democrats in the majority, bear the responsibility for the Taliban taking control of Afghanistan after the USSR abandoned their intent of destroying it.

There is constant derision voiced by the Left as they say, “We armed the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan and now they are fighting us.” They also say, “Osama Bin Ladin was initially trained by us.”

Regardless of who armed the Afghanistan fighters or who trained Bin Laden, the real issue is, ‘Who failed to fund the Afghanistan nation after the USSR departed?’ And, ‘In failing to fund them and be seen as willing to educate them aren’t we aware that our lack of action caused the unrest and acceptance of fanatics (Taliban) due to the ‘void’ we left behind?

If the USA had funded the education, built hospitals, and been seen as the nation creating hope in Afghanistan, would there have been a 9/11? Would Bin Laden ever been a problem?

Just like Jimmy Carter allowed the Ayatollah Koemeini to return to Iran, the Democrats of Congress allowed the Taliban to take control of Afghanistan! Now they are saying, “Vote us in for a change.” That is the most inane request they could have come up with! A change! Who or what terrorist group will you empower next? What fledgling political group will be the next to condemn America as the Dems gather at the trough for their ‘feeding?”
