The Democrats’s Presidential Candidates all slam the No Child Left Behind Act and plan to use it as a campaign ploy to have voters think that the Act is a Republican failure! Well, I think a ‘backfire’ may be in the making!

Hillary says, “The No Child Left Behind Act is just not working.” Bill Richardson, Barrack Obama and John Edwards all agree with Hillary. John Edwards even came up with a one-liner that he apparently hoped was an original. ” You can’t make a hog fatter by weighing it,” Edwards voiced. Obama said, ” it is demoralizing our teachers.” Then Hillary, not to be outspoken said, “…end unfunded mandate known as No Child Left Behind.” To Hillary’s overt plug for higher taxes, “Unfunded,” I said…’HUH?’

Before we condemn President Bush or any Republican Candidates let’s consider one thing; who authored the No Child Left Behind Act?  Who stood before everyone that viewed the President signing this Act into law and accepted the accolades for conceiving the No Child Left Behind Legislation? It may come as a surprise to the Democrat Candidates but the author was TED KENNEDY! The Senator that heads the Education Programs that the Democrats champion is the man that ‘thought up’ the Act that they now seek to saddle the Republicans with as a failure!

Now who is the reason, “It just is not working?” Who dreamed up weighing a ‘hog.?’ Who thought up a way to “demoralize our teachers?” Lastly, look at the funding that accompanied the No Child Left Behind Act and ask yourself, ‘Why would Hillary claim that Act to be “unfunded?”‘

Every now and then even a ‘blind hog’ finds an acorn. With Kennedy being the one who conceived that ‘acorn’ methinks it may not be an acorn at all! Get that?
