Everyone SCREAMS HEALTHCARE….ANYONE FIGURE IT OUT? THE WHY?

We hear Hillary Clinton spouting off her supposed ‘Healthcare fix’ as she screams for Universal Healthcare. Other Candidates set forth their ‘questionable’ fixes but none of them address the problem. They are content with making us believe the costs of Doctors and hospitals are the cause. Well, the Doctors and Hospitals ARE NOT the probem…not at all!

We all see the increase of health insurance being increased year after year. We also see our deductibles incereased, co-pays increased and insurance companies establishing ridiculous guidelines to deny a claim. They, the insurance companies, defend their increases as they say, “We must make gains to pay our investors a dividend.”

We see more and more Doctors going out of practice as the renumeration offered by insurance companies is lowered. Hospitals accept per diem payments from insurance companies (HMOs too) that fail to cover their base expenses.  There are many Doctors who will not accept a patient of particular insurance companies due to the ridiculous schedules of payment offered and if paid, paid at the leisure of the insurance company. In many cases it is not until the Doctor or hospital assigns the claim to a Collection Agency and lose a portion of the money as well as having to negotiate settlement of the amount truely due!

As the owner of a Collection Agency and with over 40 years of experience in dealing with medical collections I’m talking from experience, not idly!

Various states have statutes that require an insurance company to remit payment of a claim within a specified time period. As an example, in California it is mandatory for an insurance company to pay an authorized claim within 30 days of filing by the claimant. (Doctor or hospital) A HMO is allowed 45 days from filing.  I have seen as many as 9 months from filing date before the insurance company offers a 50 percent payment and the offer is made from their schedule, not what the medical claimant cherged! Folks, this money is in the BILLIONS of DOLLARS nationwide.

Underpaying, untimely paying, raising premiums, raising co-pays, raising deductibles and just generally getting rich off our backs! How do they get away with it?

For starters they BUY THE POLITICIANS with CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS! Both political partys! Then, they CONTRIBUTE to the JUDGES CAMPAIGNS that must run for office. No matter what party as both are involved in establishing and, once established as law, accurately enforcing the laws governing insurance companies and HMOs.

I traveled to many states establishing depaertments to recover money due from insurance companies and HMOs for healthcare expenses. Never,…I repeat never, have I seen one Judge grant the STATUTORILY ESTABLISHED PENALTY for untimely payment from either an insurance compay of a HMO. NOT ONCE!

So, the answer is clear. STOP people from investing in insurance companies and HMOs. They were established to afford protection for the populace from the payment of bills from Doctors and hospitals NOT to ENRICH INVESTORS! We live in a capitalistic society but this is carrying capitalism too far!

No…we do not want to have GOVERNMENT Healthcare. IT DOES NOT WORK! Look at any nations where it is implemented and see failure after failure. You will also see death after death due to NO TREATMENT in a timely manner. Canadians come to the USA to get healthcare as their healthcare DOES NOT WORK!

If we, the voters that select who gets into an offiice were to say, “Accept money from an insurance company or HMO and I will not vote for you.” Guess what? You probably guessed correctly, there would be no one to vote for! BUT, we have to make this problem known and then we will be able to get a solution…  Furthermore, STOP private investors from making money off of OUR HEATHCARE PROTECTION!
