In the Thursday, 11-15-07, Democrats debate a question was posed to Hillary Clinton, that being, “Diamonds or Pearls?”

Everyone viewing the debate (loosely identified) had to wonder just who would ask such an inane question to a slate of candidates comprised of several males and one lone female. But wait…the asker of that question was instructed to ask the question by CNN! Yep, CNN! It ws directed to Hillary as CNN denied the questioner the opportunity to ask Mrs. Clinton about “Storing nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain.”

CNN wanted to hear about pearls and diamonds but did not want Hillary asked about Yucca Mountain. Does anyone wonder ‘Why?’ Could it be that Hillary ws not prepared to answer a question that involved serious matters but was ready to comment on “diamonds or pearls.”

Apparently CNN thought so!

I was asking the lady who cuts my hair about her thoughts respecting this debate as she too had viewed it with her husband. She was just as taken back about this as I was. Then she told me about what she was hearing from many of her female clients!

“It might be about time to elect a woman into the White House,” was what she was hearing!

Elect a person simply because of her sex! Has the world gone bonkers? As my lady friend said, “I asked the women that set forth that idea why they’d elect anyone to the White House whether qualified or not simply due to the fact she was a woman?” Not a one…not one could answer that question!

What about you, the person ereading this BLOG…can you say you’d vote for a woman simply because she is a woman?  Or, would a person have to be qualified to fill the position of President of the United States of America? Think long and hard on this as your very freedoms just might depend on an honest and well thought out election!

Lastly…there were cheers heard for Hillary and boos for her opponents! WHAT?  When did we start electing by the preferences of a Partisan crowd? NEVER, I pray.
